Got what follows from a homeschool discussion group I belong to:
Hi Everyone --
Sorry about the cross-posting, but this should be a pretty cool educational event.
Disclaimer -- I am only posting this to let homeschooling families know of a great educational opportunity. Nothing more, nothing less. Please do not make this a big political thread -- that's not the intention. I am a firm believer in "Take what you want and delete the rest". I'm 100% flame proof.
Former President Bill Clinton will be speaking with John Kerry at LOVE Park, 16th and JFK Blvd in Center City Philadelphia on Monday, October 25th. LOVE park is located directly next to City Hall. Gates open at 10am and you can download tickets from John Kerry's website (easily found via a google search). As of now, it appears that there are still tix available.
Be warned that even though this is a ticketed event, there will be zillions of people and visibility may be limited. I do not recommend driving, as I'm certain many of the local streets will be closed to traffic. The smartest way to come into the city is via public transit -- but check with the SEPTA website and make sure that they will be allowing trains to stop at Suburban Station (right under LOVE Park).
If you do drive -- there is plenty of free, unlimited parking between South and Catherine, and between Broad and 13th. It is an easy, 15-20 minute walk up broad street to Love Park.
Oh -- the one thing I noticed on out tix is that, for security purposes, you can't bring signs, bags, or umbrellas. Travel light.
Aileen
stage is not big enough
Wonder if Oct. 25th will be Kerry's Ides of March?
ping
Don't bother Freeping it. You won't get near there. I know the area, and it's around lunchtime. It's a zoo already without BJ Clinton being there.
I hope it rains!

bill clinton campaigning for you...kiss of death
Has Kerry really thought this through? Clinton on the same stage with Kerry will just highlight how dull, boring, and awkward looking Kerry really is.
My impression also. Part of Philadelphia where the streets were planned before the automobile was invented. I sure hope they know what they're doing. Or, let me rephrase this: I sure hope they DON'T know what they're doing, and tick off a lot more suburban Philly and NJ commuters than they inspire!
"plenty of free, unlimited parking"
Really? The area must have changed a lot since I went to school! (Unless, of course, you don't care if your car is still there when you get back!)
I agree. But his campaign is kind of desperate. He will try anything at this point.
hmmm maybe we need to pay attention ...... there might be some problems
There's a rather interesting quote in an ABC News story linked on Drudge. Right at the end is this Clinton quote: "There's only so much anyone else can do in a campaign that he or she is not the candidate in." If this is how he feels, then why is he even bothering to show up?
clinton...10:00 am. I doubt it. More like 1:00 pm.
She'll be under the podium,a la Police Academy...LOLOL
If Penn. is in the bag for Kerry why is he using a big day at the last week of the campaign using his biggest boost (BJ) in Philadelphia?
I heard they are expecting about 1600 people
While Bush and crew will be filling an 80,000 seat stadium!!
Kerry has to encourage the troops to get out there and vote, vote, and vote some more. Forging that many ballots can be tiring work. (Philly is a big vote-fraud center)
Rendell is fixin' to steal PA just like he did in 2000.
I only hope BJ will chase after a young woman into traffic around City Hall.
Are you going tomorrow?
Wonder how the Clintonistas would feel if old Slick was to keel over trying to pull Kerry's butt out of the fire!
NMo. I will not be able to make it.

My son's father is working the police detail there. He's so not happy. He says those are the last 2 faces he wants to see.
My guess there are troubles with their internal polling .. plus NJ is now in play ..
Clinton will be on all the local news
Also .. they had Teddy Kennedy in town today giving speeches at a couple black churches
I made one sign:
It got many thumbs up! Even Shirley Turner made a point to stop and thank me!
All from Kerry-bestickered vehicles.
Only one in fifty-plus of the thousand plus kerry be-stickered vehicle drivers were smart enough to see the sign for what it was.
About 3 of 5 of hundreds of Bush be-sloganed vehicle drivers were astute enough to understand it was a pro Bush sign.
Amoung the Kerry voters -- hate and discord are the thema, the deep psychological underpinnings. And the surface ones too.
Does the news today re multiple Clintoon appearances for Kerry leave any doubt that the previous story this week regarding po' Bill's post-op infirmity were planted to paint him as even more of a Lazarus?
I predict he will be portrayed by the MSM as making a valiant, last-ditch effort for the Kerry camp - yet I am sure he knows Kerry is set to lose, setting up Billary yet again for 2008.

Sorry for the dup - thread did not show the 1st.
Just saw a picture of Clinton on Drudge and he looks terrible. If I were him I would be staying home and taking care of myself instead of pushing it and risking his health. But Hey it's up to him. Be a Martyr for the Cause.
Ping.
Neither will anyone that works down there
ABC News 6 just mentioned part of the parkway will be closed also
There's gonna be a lot of ticked off people
I hope alot are ticked off and vote Bush! Is Rendell going to have his nose up Clintons butt too?
Not sure about Rendell .. on ABC6 website they mention he will be doing a bus tour through out the State .. but don't mention him being in Philly tomorrow
On KYW 3 there is a video clip of Philly getting prepared for the rally tomorrow .. they mentioned you don't need a ticket and any one that wants to attend can
http://www.kyw.com/
Don't want to watch, thanks for the link, I just want them OUT OF MY CITY!!!
Sounds like the perfect opportunity to ask Bubba about those "nuisances" from his administration, a/k/a the first WTC bombing, the african embassy bombings, the Cole bombing, having OBL offered up on a silver platter.
Then, just for fun, since JFK appears to have the gift of perfect hindsight, ask him what he would have done differently than Bill.
Look for me on TV! I'm gonna be there with my police escort (my son). I'll be wearing my Catholics against Kerry shirt.
Is Clinton late again?
The local news is saying it's a noon time rally
And then I saw all the Kerry/Edwards buttons. Such sweet people.
The crowd wasn't very big. Love Park is a small place anyway. Lots of people were leaving during Kerry's stump speech, and lots were over shopping at the market etc.
They handed out tickets to get in the good section. But they handed them out on the street for nothing. I took two just to throw them away.
Quite a contrast with Bush rallies, where there is such demand that they must ticket.
If looking pale, wan, thin, and with larger eye bags than ever are signs of recovery from a heart bypass, Clinton is doing fine. I wish him good health.
Pulling folks from the street??
What they couldn't even get the Unions folks to attend ???
HAHAHAHAHAHA
