From what I read, it appears that the reason given is that after 9/11 people bought faulty geiger counters, and NYPD responded to a large number of false alarms.

So, instead of going after the companies that sold defective equipment, forcing manufacturers to supply citizens with properly functioning geigers, Mayor Bloomberg chose to strip the public of something sure to improve security and overall health of the community.

That makes sense to me. Some eyeglasses could be defective so we are going to strip them off the sheepies faces.

I am highly skeptical of modern day prophets but I have met one real one in my lifetime: www.prophecy.org . This guy has been exraordinarily accurate. When you get to the site check out the word search for ‘ram’ .
