Gaza's streets filled with joyous crowds of thousands on Thursday evening following the terror attack at a Jerusalem rabbinical seminary in which eight people were killed.
In mosques in Gaza City and northern Gaza, many residents went to perform the prayers of thanksgiving.
Armed men fired in the air in celebration and others passed out sweets to passersby.
Hamas stopped just short of claiming responsibility but issued a statement saying the group "blesses the (Jerusalem) operation. It will not be the last,'' Hamas said in a statement.
An Islamic Jihad spokesman Abu Ahmed told Ynet the blame for the attack lay with Israel for its operations in Gaza. "The responsibility lies with those who killed 130 Palestinians in Gaza, most of them children," he said. "We welcome this heroic act and strengthen the hands of those who carried it out. This is only the first of many responses the Palestinian people are planning."
The spokesman, a member of the organization's military wing – the al-Quds Brigades – said Israel is "reaping what it has sown in the Strip. Those who carried out the attack have brought great pride and raised the heads of the Palestinians."

Um, it wasn’t mostly children. Also, it’s operations in Gaza are because of ATTACKS BY HAMAS.

IMHO, Gaza and the West Bank should not only be occupied...they should be made a part of Israel.
After the terrorists and all those abetting them are crushed with extreme prejudice...the remaining people there who have no terrorist ties, should have the opportunity to either swear allegiance to Isareal and start a track towards citzenship...or be forthwith deported.
Anyone with terrorist ties should be either incarcerated or executed depending on the severity of their crimes.
If the other Arab countries try and militarily intervene...then they should get their backsides handed to them on the same platter this other is served up on.

I’m amazed that folks can sneak in and gun down folks with machine guns and then have the folks back home cheering in the streets. Imagine if you were intelligent like Man, standing off at a distance and witnessing this, you would think, let’s destroy this mindless race of creatures and nuke the whole freakin’ planet.
Agree 100%, but it’ll never happen, at least under this government. Israeli government’s first response to the attack was to babble that it will not derail the peace process with Fatah.
By the way, Al-Aqsa Martyrs are claiming responsibility for the attack. They are Fatah’s terrorist wing.
Remember a year ago when Israelis were forced to evacuate Gaza, in return for an truce agreement that they would not use Gaza to launce attacks on Israel? When will they learn not to negotiate with these vermin, they never hold their end of a bargin.

Why not just tear down the wall between Egypt again, announce that the Gaza is being converted to a security zone, and pulverize everything in it until there is no object left that could not be passed through a 12" ring. Start at the south end and work to the North.
Hopefully the brave martyrs will live up to their talk and die fighting the IDF in the tens or hundreds of thousands. The survivors can become second, third and fourth wives in Egypt.
It does make one long for ancient times. Can one imagine (well you don't have to really, there is history) what they would have done to a group that acted this way. Slavery would have been the humane end of the spectrum for what was available.

The Bible especially illustrates the Philistines’ great cruelty in the book of Judges and the first book of Samuel. Later, the account of Saul in thirty-first chapter of first Samuel also illustrates the cruelty of the Philistines. In this text, after enduring many defeats, the Israelites choose Saul as their king who will deliver them from their Philistine “oppressors.” Saul is able to successfully defeat the Philistines on several occasions, but Saul’s disobedience to the Lord eventually causes his downfall. Saul and his sons eventually die in a battle around Mount Gilboa, and, as a result, the Philistines take the surrounding Israelite towns and settle there. They also brutally desecrate the bodies of Saul and his sons, which the following passage from 1 Samuel 31:8-10 details:
The next day, when the Philistines came to strip the dead, they found Saul and his three sons fallen on Mount Gilboa. They cut off his head and stripped off his armor, and they sent messengers throughout the land of the Philistines to proclaim the news in the temple of their idols and among their people. They put his armor in the temple of the Ashtoreth and fastened his body to the wall of Beth Shan.
These passages in first Samuel show the “barbarianism” of the Philistine people by emphasizing the fact that they worship idols. It also graphically depicts the harsh treatment of Saul and his sons’ bodies to emphasize the brutality of the Philistines To add insult to injury, the Bible also mentions that the Philistines place the armor of Saul, whom Yahweh anointed to rule the Israelites, in the temple of their pagan gods. All these actions serve to vilify the Philistine culture.
It is my personal experience that Yaweh is an excellent judge of character. I suggest he was right about these people 4,000 years ago, and obviously they are getting worse, not better.
The stupid part was putting them in prison in the first place. They should have been taken to a lonely place, given a shovel, and told to start digging...
