What about Al?
Pittsburgh Tribune Review ^ | Salena Zito

What about Al?

There is a rumor among those close to the Obama camp that this weekend will bring a big endorsement for the Illinois Senator.

We can scratch John Edwards off that list, he is yesterday's news. Probably the only thing 'bigger' than Edwards would be former Vice-President Al Gore -- who will be in Pittsburgh this Sunday (May 18) to give the commencement speech at Carnegie Mellon University.

Gore, after his unsuccessful run for president in 2000, took an environmental path, rather than political, and has become a cult-like figure among the left and environmentally correct.

Hillary knows where the “bodies are buried”. Algore would be finished if he crosses the Clintons.

Word on the street is that Gore is in McCain's pocket.

This ought to be interesting. I’ve heard that Algore really despises the Clintons.

He’s about a 52 or 54 extra long.

Geez, would Carville call Al Gore a Judas if he endorsed Obama instead of Hillary?

Maybe Al doesn’t care about politics anymore. He’s having too much fun being the Pope of the Church of Global Warming. He is a cult like figure with the enviro extremists. Being in the political mix may not appeal to him anymore.

“took an environmental path, rather than political”

What a bunch of crap. The environmental path IS a political path and anyone who doesn’t see this is dumb and blind.

Al Gore is heavily invested in new technologies and carbon credit schemes. If he went the political route, he’d need to disclose those financial interests and could not mandate their required use.

I want to know what Al Gore thinks of Ozzy Osbourne, W.A.S.P., Twisted Sister, et al now. I mean, he and his wife held congressional hearings over it as a means to get national attention so he could run for the Presidency in 1988.

They threw store clerks under the bus for political gain (clerks who got arrested under vice charges). They trashed entertainment careers for political gain.

They are convincing even when they don’t care.

just because he’s circumventing the system doesn’t negate that the environmental movement is political. it’s underlying purpose, particularly the global warming scheme, is political - the redistribution of wealth. the UN admitted such during one of its recent meetings.

The first spat that I know of is when Hillary wanted the VP offices for she and her staff because it was closer to Bill's office. It might have been the White House Historian or someone who runs the White House compound who stepped in and killed that idea.

We were told of the “Red Scare” which was a genuine threat (which is coming dangerously close to the White House this year although we’ve already had a Red VP who saw the gulags in the USSR and said nothing).

Why isn’t there more talk of the Global Warming Scare which is an out and out fraud.

Algore ought to endorse McCain after his tree-hugger speech in Oregon a few days ago.

Also, he is getting givernment backing for new companies that he has a financial stake in.
When they go public, he is a major holder of Pre-IPO shares.
The guy is a scam artist.

He's openly supporting Obama at this point.
