McConnell Not Satisfied with Today’s Confirmations
Confirm Them ^ | June 10, 2008

Posted on 06/16/2008 5:16:28 PM PDT by Clintonfatigued

The Senate confirmed three district court nominees today: Mark Davis of Virginia and Stephen Limbaugh and David Kays of Missouri. Sen. McConnell took the opportunity to chastise the Democrats about their obstruction of circuit nominees and to again make good on his pledge to slow down the Senate until the obstruction is eased. From McConnell’s office:

Although the Majority fulfilled their commitment from last week to confirm three more District Court nominees today …, Leader McConnell did not feel these actions were sufficient in light of the continued lack of circuit court confirmations. … Therefore, Leader McConnell invoked the two-hour rule with respect to the Judiciary Committee meeting today. This will affect the Committee continuing its hearing this afternoon on interrogation. In order for the Committee to continue the hearing this afternoon, the Democrats will be forced to recess the Senate circa 2:15, and the Senate will be in recess for the remainder of the Committee’s hearing.

Mitch McConnell is having an effect on the judicial battles. The only questions are how effective will he be and will he be reelected this year?

Dear Senator McConnell,

Be nice to the rats, they have been busy renegotiating their home loans and cannot be bothered with important business.

Mitch McConnell is the only Republican with some guts left to fight the left....and that includes McCain, our so called candidate.

When Mitch crosses the asile, it's to land a body blow!

Yes Steven Limbaugh is Rush’s cousin. Rush mentioned it the other day on his program.

When the GOP had majorities in both the Senate and Congress
why did they weenie out and cave to the ‘Rat minorities on appointments of judges?
Gang of 14 with McLame and Goober Graham leading the way.
GOP wimps play nice with the ‘Rats but the rotten Dems play dirty and for keeps.

No worries. McConnell has his general election in the bag.

We need to all send a note of thanks (and maybe a contribution) to Mitch McConnell. He is fighting the fight alone because the rest of the GOP Senate is a bunch of sniveling cowards.

I’d have liked to see a challenger against him in the primary.

I'd like to think that is accurate. But I haven't seen anything to indicate he's in that good of shape. Course one can't get decent information via the Louisville Courier. It's blatant leftist trash, IMO.

Lot of people in Bardstown commute to Louisville everyday for work, and gas is killing them. Mitch ought to be beating the Dems over the head non stop about having restricted drilling. It will resonate around here.

Any going to vote for him, or do they just sound resigned to losing?

Saw a poll the other day that had him behind the Dem opponent. Of course, I think it was in the Courier, and I didn't stop to read the specifics. And they'll never give the internals out.

People in KY don’t know what McC is doing. They are always uninformed.

Same thing here in E-Town.

Some of my coworkers live in Brandenburg, Leitchfield, and Louisville (30, 35, and 40 miles respectively) and a few of them have gone to four-day work weeks to help save gas.

I'm lucky in that I only live 1 1/2 miles from work, so I've started riding my bike or walking if the weather is nice. It cuts down on the gas bill and is healthy for me, as the doc says I need to drop another 20-25 pounds. :-(

-the only poll that counts is when we legally vote.....I have long ago assumed that the so called pollsters are just another variation of the dem spinmeisters.
