Europe Fears Obama Might Undercut Progress With Iran
By Glenn Kessler
Washington Post Staff Writer
Sunday, June 22, 2008; A14
European officials are increasingly concerned that Sen. Barack Obama's campaign pledge to begin direct talks with Iran on its nuclear program without preconditions could potentially rupture U.S. relations with key European allies early in a potential Obama administration.

I suspect that Europeans are happiest when the U.S. goes to war with the enemies of civilization.
Then they can simultaneously despise and curse us as imperialist warmongers yet enjoy our protection at no cost to themselves.
But if a new president comes along and America suddenly becomes more pacifist and defeatist than the EU, what are they going to do? No one to blame for imperialism, no one to protect them. And it’s much too late for them to rebuild their effete and shrunken military and defend themselves.

One of the truly serious dangers facing the US if Obama wins is the fact that our enemies are likely to perceive of him as a pushover, and take dangerous risks they might otherwise think twice about.

They may have to use some of their Euros to retool their military. They will rue the day they worked so hard with the left in this country to destroy George Bush and gave us a Barack Obama.

It would be great to have a pic of Hussein Obama with one of those islamic throat slitters in his belt.
I just did searches on "sword of islam," "islamic sword," and... there are no photos. Either I don't know what I'm doing, or the search engines have been sanitized.

Wait a minute?? I thought Europe was getting Chris Matthews “thrills up my leg” over Obama-Maud’Dib?? What gives?? Are they actually listening to the words coming out of his mouth?? Does “Winnie the Pooh” foreign policy make the Euros a little skittish??
Go figure.

WOW! CRUZAN RUM! Brings back memories.... I grew up in Puerto Rico, but spent a lot of time in St. Thomas, so I used to bring some of these liqueurs back home. Believe it or not, Bacardi Rums were cheaper in the USVI than in Puerto Rico, where it’s manufactured. St. Thomas is where all the cruise ships would stock up on their spirits & alcohol.
About Whiskey.... I was never interested.... never liked the flavor.... my Puerto Rican grandmother, however, at 97 years young still drinks two or three daily tall glasses of whiskey with a bit of water on the rocks. Her mind is still all there and she loves to read newspapers and watch Wolf Blitzer on CNN.
Don’t know how she does it....

Yes. There are two others that are very moving and I’ve lost them in my files.
One is a Young Soldier who lost his hand, being hugged by an elderly Veteran.
The other one is a young Soldier who lost his leg, standing up to salute the passing Veterans in a parade, while others around him remain sitting [as I recall].
