[Chicago]3 Fatally shot on South Side[Wasn't Daley's gun ban supposed to take care of all this?]

Two men and a 21-year-old woman were found shot to death late Sunday in what Chicago police believe was a drug-related attack inside an apartment building on the city's South Side.

The bodies were discovered at about 10 p.m. Sunday in the 7800 block of South Kingston Avenue in the South Shore neighborhood after police received a call about gunfire, Officer David Banks said.

This makes no sense whasoever. Not 4 days after Dick Daley caled the Supreme Court ruling striking down Washington, DC's gun ban as benig unconstitutional and putting Chicago's gun ban in peril "frightening" and explaining that his gun ban prevents gun violence, three more people are slaughtered with guns on Chicago's South Side. HEY DICK! ISN'T YOUR GUN BAN SUPPOSED TO PREVENT THIS?? This is less than 24 hours after a Chicago Fire Department arson investigator was shot and seriously wounded while investigating a fire though to have been caused by a Molotov cocktail.

You notice that Galey isn't trying to ban drugs or gangs nearly as hard as he's trying to ban guns...yet no amendment says "The right to associate and congragate in street gangs shall not be infringed". There is no amendment that says "Congress shall make no law infringing upon the right to use recreational drugs". Daley, an attorney who presumably passed the bar exam, has a very questionable understanding of constitutional law.

It should also be noted that Daley and his family sleep and wake under a 24 hour a day armed police bodyguard detail--but the citizens he "serves" are not permitted to have armed defense.

Obviously a misprint. There are no guns in Chicago. That’s the LAW.

The only people gun bans affect are law-abiding citizen who want guns for protection and hunting.
Criminals will get their illegal guns just like they get their illegal drugs.

Sometimes I think we need to start over with a re-statement of the Magna Carta. It seems like we're ruled by a bunch of Sherriffs of Nottingham who live above the law, while we're treated like rabble who need to be strictly controlled and heavily taxed.

Chicago needed a “surge”,since it was falling behind Philadelphia in murders.

You don’t understand how this man’s small mind works. HE needs armed boduyguards 24/7 at taxpayer expense because he must be protected. Citizens who are not names Daley don’t need guns because guns cause violent crime and death.

Daly does not see himself as a citizen, but as someone who needs not follow the rules, gets special treatment, and is accountable to no one. For him, Government of, by and for the people is a myth. It’s people who get governed by their leaders, and those elected are above the rabble.

THIS is what the liberals want for all of us—to be disarmed, subservient little serfs underneath the liberal elite’s feet. Since gun bans DO NOT prevent gun deaths as we see four times in the last 24 hours in a city with a gun ban, there s only one reason why Democrats want to take all of our guns away from us. Care to take a stab as to what that might be?

I've wondered why Daley and the rest of the "elites" are OK with guns for themselves and their buddies but, they are hell bent to keep them out of the hands of law abiding citizens.

All one has to do is go back to high school history (for those of us who went to high school before history was re-written by the Communist libs) and read about Nazi Germany to get the answer.....

No drugs, no gangs. Just ask the Mayors of any big city in the USA. They all profess to having a safe city because they banned firearms for the citizens.

William Shirer”s “Rise and Fall of the Third Reich” would
fill the bill.

At least in Chicago, they will still be able to vote for Obama in November.

Hey, he only flunked the bar exam twice. He's practically a genius.

And, although he received his law degree in 1968, he failed to pass the bar exam until his third try. In a February 1989 Wall Street Journal interview with Robert Johnson, Daley displayed his pique at a question about the situation. "So I flunked the bar exam. So what? Maybe I should have committed suicide? If I had passed, they would have said my father fixed it."

Dicky, accept the fact that you're no legal scholar, just a sleazy politician. And not a very bright one.

<gun-grabber mode>

SEE!! It only took the possibility of eliminating the gun ban to trigger this tragedy. Imagine how much worse it will be once the ban is actually rescinded.

Not to defend the gun grabbing fascist BUT Daley and the City Council did try to stop that. They passed a law and the cops enforced it. Guess who stepped in and sued the City of Chicago in Federal Court to 'protect the right of assembly' (the 1st two guesses don't count).

And guess who won that lawsuit - the Gangs and their 'right to assemble' (I'm series).

I'm now going to bathe in Lye for even remotely sticking up for Daley

If I were going to rule like Daley, I would very much like to have the citizenry disarmed.

Don’t blame Daley for the gun violence in Chicago. He enacted a total ban on guns, so clearly this is someone else’s fault.

And, conversely, if the gun ban is overturned, Daley loses his only response to the horrendous epidemic of gun violence, and is placed in the position that represents a pol’s worst nightmare: Thinking of an approach to curbing crime other than saying that it’s under control because guns are illegal.

Then again, it may be a plus for him. He can point to the elimination of the ban on guns as the cause of gun violence, hoping nobody noticed that there was gun violence before the ban was overturned. Hey - it could happen.
