Side Tracking on Obama: Conservatives, Keep Your Eye on the Prize
Mens News Daily ^ | July 3, 2008 | Will Malven

“Obama’s a Muslim.” “Obama’s not a Muslim.” “Obama hasn’t released his birth certificate.” “Obama has released his birth certificate.” “Michelle Obama hates America and ‘Whities’.” “Michelle Obama is a patriotic American.”

On and on it goes.

People, my fellow Conservatives and Republicans of all persuasions, it’s a distraction. All of these side issues are distractions designed to prevent a discussion of the real dangers of an Obama-nation.

Keep your eyes on the prize.

Obama, whatever he may or may not be by birth, is a hardcore socialist who wants to take this nation down the path of other failed socialist experiments in Europe and other parts of the world.

We must not forget this!

What Obama believes in his spiritual life, is between him and whatever deity he chooses to worship or not worship. What matters are his plans, or the plans of those who are his handlers, to destroy this nation, culturally, fiscally, and socially.

He criticizes McCain’s proposal for a summer “gasoline tax vacation” because it won’t save people very much money. He does this while virtually admitting that he likes the high gasoline prices. Why, because like all Liberals, he promotes the concept of forced reduction in consumption.

High gas prices means people will be forced to drive less. This is an old Democrat/Liberal concept. One that has been promoted by Al Gore and other Leftist extremists within the Democrat Party.

Obama is a devout Marxist and as such, he believes that the end justifies the means, no matter what the cost to the his fellow citizens, just as his fellow Democrats in the House and Senate believe…if they actually were concerned about the stresses high gas prices place on the average citizen, they would be advocating increased domestic exploration rather than preventing it.

Obama believes in socialized medicine. He may call it by some other name, but his goals are the same as every other socialist who has raised his or her voice - government control of our medical care.

Obama believes in government. With every vote he has cast in the Senate and his every action, he screams government control. From his own website:

He wants the Federal Government to determine what wages should be, not the free market and private companies. He wants the Federal Government to provide college tuition for anyone who wants it, while penalizing the private student loan industry by elimination of subsidies. [It's good to see government doing what private industry can do better, right Barack?] He wants the Federal Government to provide another $300/family in assistance, cost - $20 Billion He wants the Federal Government to provide protection from foreclosure for homeowners who bought houses they knew they couldn’t afford, cost - $10 Billion (yeah right, like that’s all it will cost). He wants the Federal Government to provide “communities hardest hit by the housing crisis” with funds to provide vital services,” cost - $10 Billion (another lie). He wants the Federal Government to provide a further extention of unemployment benefits, cost - $10 Billion. He wants the Federal Government to provide another $500/person in his “Making Work Pay” tax relief to those who pay no income tax, “to offset the payroll tax,” (he doesn’t even dare provide a cost for this proposal). He wants the Federal Government to fund a “Advanced Manufacturing Fund” to promote “green technologies,” no cost estimate. He wants the Federal Government to “invest $150 billion over 10 years to advance the next generation of biofuels and fuel infrastructure, accelerate the commercialization of plug-in hybrids, promote development of commercial scale renewable energy, invest in low emissions coal plants, and begin transition to a new digital electricity grid,” cost - $15 Billion/year. He wants the Federal Government to create, “New Job Training Programs for Clean Technologies,” no cost estimate. He wants the Federal Government to create a “Renewable Portfolio Standard” (RPS) that will require 25 percent of American electricity be derived from renewable sources by 2025, (and cost untold $Billions). He wants the Federal Government to create a “National Infrastructure Reinvestment Bank,” another Federal Bureaucracy, cost - $6 Billion/year. He wants the Federal Government to institute his “cap-and-trade system [that] will require all pollution credits to be auctioned. A 100 percent auction ensures that all polluters [folks, that includes you and me] pay for every ton of emissions they release, rather than giving these emission rights away to coal and oil companies. The list is almost endless. This is just a little sample from his Obama08 webpage.

These proposals don’t represent “change,” they represent a return to the tried and failed policies of Roosevelt’s “New Deal” and Johnson’s “Great Society.” Those are the policies which have done more to destroy the fabric of our nation than any enemy could possibly have contemplated.

Through the misguided use of Federal money in “assisting” the poor, the Federal government, far from saving the American family, has done more to destroy it than any other single entity or cultural trend could have.

Obama’s “Change You Can Believe In” is a huge step backward for our nation. His proposals are not a step forward to the future, but a giant leap backward to the past.

Obama is planning the systematic dismantling of our entire culture and economy with an aim of instituting a socialist “paradise” such as the Soviets enjoyed for 50 years. For Obama, government isn’t a solution to our problems, it is the solution.

I don’t care (at least not very much) whether Obama has a legitimate copy of his birth certificate, or if he is a Muslim. I care about what his plans are for this nation that I love, warts and all.

McCain sees government as a useful partner in meeting the needs of the American people. He has more faith in government than do I, but at least he envisions some limitations on the role of government in our lives. Obama has no such qualms about government intrusion into our lives.

For Obama, Government is mother, Government is father. Obama’s vision of Government is as the ultimate expression of mankind. He trusts the government, not the individual. He believes that Government, not private enterprise can provide the solutions to our problems.

Surrounded by his thousands of adoring fans, none of whom can say exactly what he has done that warrants electing him as President of the United States, aided by a mainstream media more inclined to act as cheerleader and advocate for his election than as an objective and cautious critic, and being run by faceless controllers who hide in the background dictating his agenda, Barack Obama is the gravest threat this nation has faced in my lifetime.

Krushchev promised that the Soviet Union would destroy America not through might of arms, but from the inside.

Obama is Krushchev’s promise made incarnate.

When an illusionist is performing tricks which dazzle you and divert your attention, watch that his assistant isn’t standing behind you picking your pocket.

Keep your eyes on the prize!

Don’t be distracted by these side issues. Yes Obama is a threat to America, but these small issues distract attention away from the threat Obama truly represents.

Obama is not a “Muslim Manchurian Candidate,” his is an American Liberal Socialist candidate and his agenda will destroy our economy, our national security, and the social fabric of our society.

Long Live Our American Republic!!!

Here's my comment.

It's pretty clear that McCain is in halo mode. But somebody needs to tell the truth about Obama.

So, if you're going to donate do it to organizations like the NRA who will pull no punches in showing this gun grabbing Marxist exactly for what he is.

Obama is not a “Muslim Manchurian Candidate,” his is an American Liberal Socialist candidate

I don't see why these should be thought of as mutually exclusive alternatives.

Sure, he's a socialist, if not an outright Communist. He's also an American hater. And a black power advocate. And to all appearances, he's also a Muslim. And he's also a cozy member of the Chicago mob.

None of this is what we want to see in a President.

Funny. I always saw McCain as the Manchurian Candidate, and more than a few people have given him that nickname. Now it appears that we have two Manchurian Candidates. Great.

I agree with this and with Dick Morris. Morris says essentially the same thing. Focusing on Obama’s religion, past radical associations, his wife etc. is not going to win the election for McCain.

McCain has to focus on, among other things, Obama’s track record as a big-spending, tax-raising liberal who will damage the economy by raising the capital gains tax, and who will give the terrorists victory in Iraq should we pull out precipitously, as he says he will.

When will the video be released of barry saying the “Lord’s Prayer”? What I thought. This will be a relief for me and anyone that I say that barry is still a muslim and is preaching Taqiyya to all of America. God help all of our grandchildren who will save this nation when they are called if he wins the prize! God bless and Happy 232nd Birthday America, the land that I love...

Creating a permanent class that depends on the Government for everything is cruel. I understand help for the disabled, the untimely loss of a bread-winner, or even the untimely loss of a job. The permanent under-class though is a different story that manipulates the system and in turn keeps them there.

Obama’s Special Interest List Swells

Mon, 06/23/2008 - 11:37 — Judicial Watch Blog
While Barack Obama campaigns as an anomaly not corrupted by Washington politics or special interests, he has repeatedly contradicted this illusion by accepting big bucks from convicted entrepreneurs as well as oil company executives, steering millions of federal earmark dollars to his wife’s employer and a top donor and hiring powerful corporate insiders to run his campaign.

Now the “squeaky clean” newcomer to big time politics is heavily promoting ethanol, made almost entirely from corn, as a source of energy because many of his top advisors and prominent supporters have close ties to that industry. In a story published this week, a major national newspaper lays out why the Illinois senator so strongly endorses ethanol.

It turns out that Obama’s national campaign co-chairman, former South Dakota Senator Tom Daschle, serves on the boards of three ethanol companies and his top advisor on environmental issues, Jason Grumet, used to work for a bipartisan initiative (National Commission on Energy Policy) that strongly supports ethanol.

Obama is also very tight with Illinois agriculture giant Archer Daniels Midland, the nation’s largest ethanol producer. Incidentally, a few years ago Archer Daniels Midland became the first company to sell food directly from the U.S. to Cuba since the implementation of the decades-old embargo and, perhaps not coincidentally, Cuban communist Dictator Fidel Castro has endorsed Obama. In fact, months ago he said an Obama-Hillary Clinton ticket would be unbeatable.

Obama has even made ethanol a national security issue, saying that the nation’s security will benefit from it because America’s oil dependence makes it difficult to shape an intelligent foreign policy and pointing out that the U.S. sends billions of dollars to some of the most hostile nations on earth. Not surprisingly, he favors multibillion-dollar government subsidies that the industry has for years received.

This is just the latest of many damaging revelations that contradict Obama’s infamous change rhetoric and fabricated image as a reformer. The corrupt Syrian man who has practically financed Obama’s entire political career, Antoin Rezko, was recently convicted of fraud and money laundering in U.S. federal court and Obama has taken millions from a shady Iraqi billionaire (Nadhmi Auchi) convicted in Europe for operating a massive kickback scheme.

Obama has also taken thousands of dollars in donations from oil industry executives and employees even though he has starred in television ads claiming he doesn’t take money from the industry and blasting giants like Exxon for making $40 billion a year while Americans pay exorbitant amounts for gas.

Just a few weeks ago, one of Obama’s top campaign advisors and fundraisers, was forced to resign after a national publication revealed that he was a corporate insider who received the sort of highly questionable loans Obama blames for infecting the economy and creating a home foreclosure crisis.

Somehow, the charismatic young lawmaker that the mainstream media loves to portray as a sort of rock star doesn’t seem any different than most Washington heavy hitters.

The same D Morris who said Hillary would be Prez Bobkk47?

As usual Morris is partly correct, those things, Wright, Ayers, Rezko, won’t sway middle america.

But they can buttress Mad Jon’s support among Social Conservatives, the very people who he used to go out of his way to anger, are the key to a McCain win and more importantly, and Obama loss.

His version of “the Faith Based Initiative” basically amends the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Churches would not be allowed to selectively hire, meaning a cross dressing pagan would have to be hired as the office assistant at the local church.

Comments?”

Every one of his points that he wants to implement chills me to the bone, especially the ones with NO costs attached-—
But- theone that pi$$es me off the most is the one about saving the people who got into foreclosure due to their own stupidity and willingness to lie on their loan applications.
I bought my first house in 1966, bought another house in 1988, and this one in 2005. I have paid every one of my mortgage payments regardless of what I had to do without to do so. In all that time, I think I have had only 2 late payments, which I paid the penalty for.
Using my tax monies to “save” a homeowner who has totally misused the system is beyond unfair to the rest of us.
I know a couple that can make good money. She decided to quit her job in January, and didn’t go back out and even try to find another job. Now, put that together with a house of only about 1000 Sq Ft that they now cannot keep up payments on, which has had the value drop to $100 K less than they paid for it.
Did they sell their paid for 45 FT boat and trailer to make house payments??? Not on your life. Did they go out and buy a large travel trailer before the foreclosure payments hit? Sure did...
Now they are planning on living in it and “traveling” until they can “resettle” into a new life.....
Sure makes me feel warm and fuzzy when I think of the tough times I got thru, which once included eating nothing but peanut butter on saltine crackers for 10 straight days when a client didn’t send me a check on time and thought he had done so before he went on vacation.

And if Obama wins by one electoral vote, courtesy of liberals, Blacks, and ignorant college students, he will claim a mandate for Socialism, ala Nancy Pelosi after the ‘06 elections.
They will ride into Washington D. C. and waste no time in turning it into a Socialist “paradise” that would make America unrecognizable. At last, we would become Europe, the goal of USA haters for generations.

This housing crap reminds me of what happened to Bill Heard Chevrolet in Nashville. They falsified many applicants income to get that down payment, then “foreclosed” 2 weeks later based on the application. It’s a big scam. Bill Heard America had to close up here. They should have put all the bastards in jail.

Neither of these fellows are going to prevent the sure disaster that awaits us. Personally, I'd rather be shot (Obama) than stabbed (McCain).

If Obama is elected, it may well be the tipping point where someone - anyone - is going to stand up for what they believe in and fight back. Insurrection is the only way to stop the nonsense of the last three decades. The people who created this country understood that.

“they think four years of Obama will make the nation turn wholeheartedly toward conservatism. Fools, every last one of them.”

Agree! Basically there are 2 variants to this theme. One is that we should not vote for lesser evil (then, I guess, we should be even more adamant not to vote for the greater one!).

And 2nd - no difference between McCain and Obama. This one obviously takes a cake and such a nonsense that I am not even sure whether this is not peddled by actual Obama’s supporters...

2 extra leftist judges on Supreme Court will change completely interpretation of the Constitution and will hurt the coutry for decades to come.

Any of Obama’s Administration disasters will be written off as racially biased hateful lies or sabotage, whatever will be easier to push down our throats.

Throughout the history if there is anything that totalitarianism has proved to do well - it is to hold on power. Don't expect - if Obama wins - for that to be another Carter Presidency. It will be another attempt at creating a “perfect” socialist society in all its “1984” glory...

If you are expecting some kind of latter day repeat of 1770, you are woefully out of touch with the times in which you live.

Not that this will get through to people with your mindset, but any conservative truly worthy of that characterization, would never do anything to see Obama elected under any circumstances. President Reagan, if he were alive and in sound mind today, would vote for John McCain without hesitation. So would Charlton Heston, William F. Buckley, Barry Goldwater, and other conservative icons.

There is no question McCain is a terribly flawed GOP candidate, but even with his flaws he is far better than Obama. But again, people with your mindset will never be convinced of their folly.

You do not seem to understand the seriousness of the situation, nor the stakes of the game. Either one of them is going to make it much worse than it is. To encourage them is the simple-minded thing. To ignore the flaws and hope for the best is sticking ones head in the sand.

I want someone I can openly rebel against with a clean conscience. I'm fed up with the lot of them.

Obama, whatever he may or may not be by birth, is a hardcore socialist...somebody on Fox News tonight, maybe Major Garrett who covers Obama, made the fiendishly clever comment, in comparing BO's philosophical interest in ending the Iraq war with his now practical approach to listening to what the Generals say, that "it's sort of like what they used to say about socialists - that they love humanity and hate individual people" - if only McCain and some of the 'pubs would be so clever......

I can’t help but noticing that the Obama campaign appears to be trying to make our guy angry, presumably so that they can crow triumphantly from now until kingdom come about what a danger it is to have a president with a temper. Clark’s argument was a strawman, trying to put words in McCains mouth and then arguing against his own (Clark’s) bogus argument. That’s irritating, no-one likes to be misrepresented. To my mind, all of the idiotic BS has a primary purpose of trying to make McCain lose it (yes, avoiding talking about Obama is the secondary purpose). A way out is to realize that Obama is VERY thin-skinned, it doesn’t take a lot to make him angry, he seems to have an exaggerated sense of his own importance and dignity and doesn’t “do unto others as he would have done to him”. All you have to do is to point out Obama’s failures (from his days at ACORN) as well as his short-sightedness (The surge is working, and no, alienating the Clinton ladies was NOT a good idea) and lack of ethics (Two words, Nevada caucus). There’s a ton of good stuff out there, the Clintonites have been busy ;-)

Perhaps this is the first "San Francisco election" in our republic's history: By this I mean "you have basically two options. Left and even further left."

I have to agree. People trying to bring down Obama by associating him with Islam are spinning their wheels. Most non-Republican Americans just don’t care. What will attract their attention is pounding home Obama’s radical past and his thin resume. Smearing him is a lost cause. Stick to what we know is true about Obama. That should be damaging enough as the guy is the worst candidate in history. Which makes him a perfect Dem candidate as the current Dem Party is the worst assemblage of anti-American malcontents ever elected to public office.

Don’t count on McCain having the brain power to target the real issue. He is too busy trying to appear “noble.”

Yep, Obama wants to bring back slavery with government as the slave masters.

It’s not a distraction.

Obama is both. He’s a Marxist, and he has a contempt for America nurtured for 20 years at the feet of Rev. Wright.

Attack him on both fronts.

For conservatives, the “prize” is now 2012, our first chance to get our country back from whoever wins in November.

Obama believes in government. With every vote he has cast in the Senate and his every action, he screams government control.

Too true! More time needs to be spent on making sure everyone knows how much Obama wants the government to make as many decisions for us as possible.

It's like drilling for oil. I maintain that you CAN drill for oil AND look for alternative energy, as well. Just like, you CAN go after Obama on the serious issues AND tinker with the alternative energy of the campaign season, too.
