The founder of the American Family Association (AFA) says the McDonald's Corporation's refusal to be neutral in the cultural war over homosexuality has resulted in their declaration of a boycott against the popular fast-food chain.
AFA founder Don Wildmon says they went to McDonald's after learning several months ago that the company had joined the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. And following a $20,000 donation to that group, one of McDonald's executives was placed on the Chamber's board of directors.
"We contacted McDonald's and showed them what they were doing -- that is, helping to support the homosexual agenda," explains Wildmon. "...[O]ne of the primary purposes of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce is to promote homosexual marriage."
After meeting with Wildmon, the corporation refused to withdraw their support for the Chamber. "...In fact, McDonald's strongly told us that they are reaffirming their commitment to -- they called it -- 'diversity,'" he continues.
Wildmon says that reaffirmation means throwing the corporation's full weight into the cultural battle on the side of homosexuality -- which is why AFA is calling for consumers not to help McDonald's do it with their dollars.
After getting sick from 2 different McDonald restaurants over 12 years ago and the fact that the food is garbage, I stopped using them and probally was only there once or twice in 12 years because I was with someone that stopped there.
That McDonalds feels it nescessary to even have a person titled Chief Diversity Officer is sad and pathetic. You sell hamburgs and fries for goodness sakes..........
People really need to get over themselves in this Country....
Yeah, I got no problem going along with this.
I go to McDonald’s once in a long while just to remind myself why I don’t go there anymore. Most of the time the people working there are illiterate and/or can’t speak english.
The same thing goes for just about every other restaurant chain.
Keeps the Democrap trial lawyers at bay. No “fat” lawsuits when you support the homo agenda.
Too bad that letter doesn’t mention what the complaint was about, it would be good ammunition if it did.
I have mixed emotions about boycotts, but at what point do people begin to push back at the tyranny of the minority? At what point do we stop saying, “there’s nothing I can do”? It is a very small thing to do to choose another fast food chain in response.
Will it make a difference? Maybe. Maybe not. But again, I would say that it is not enough to simply curse the darkness.
Isn’t this something out of Orwell’s “1984”? Companies will have a Diversity Officer to celebrate diversity and alternative lifestyles. Who could have imagined it would come to this?
It’s one thing to say consenting adults will have a right to do whatever privately, it’s something else again to actively and positively promote an agenda for that.
And McDonald’s is in the business of selling fast food. Do they actively promote the lifestyles of all their customers, or just the homosexual community? Why the need to promote ANY lifestyle, if they are in the business of selling mass produced burgers? Presumeably they welcome everyone as customers, not just certain lifestyles.
The mega company I work for has one of these. I work for a hospital complex and while the worker bees - those of us who cook the food for patients, employees and visitors, clean the patient rooms, move patients from rooms to xrays and other tests, change their linens so they don't have to lay in their waste and get ugly skin breakdowns, feed the ones who are unable to do so, make sure they get the correct medicine in the correct amount at the correct time, and the million other things that employees do to serve the sick and their loved ones - get told that we should be grateful for our 2-3% raise and we won't be getting certain supplies cause they cost too much, the powers that be hire a multi-hundreds of thousands of dollars suit to tell us to be nice to one another.
It's obscene.
What do these people do, look for evidence of racism in parking space allocation? Keep a tally of "gender neutral" bathrooms? Make sure no bibles are found in the hospital chapel chamber of reflection? Gut policies decried as supporting "instamootional racism" (i.e. any policy predicated upon individual performance).
I stop at one in the AM every once in a while. I really dislike going there because I’m white and most of the blacks that run the place seem to be less than happy to see me. I very rarely get a “good morning” or “thank you” although I normally offer them. Seems that people of color do get them. At least it probably costs them more to serve me than they make so I get some satisfaction from that.

Dude I am not going to read the letter, I don’t eat their food, I only get it for my Dog. I will take my Dog to Wendys or Burger King from now on, it is not worth it.
Just give me a site to let me tell McDonalds that I will no longer be taking my Dog to get 2 double cheeseburgers w/o onions anymore!!! Thanks.
I have an idea...I'll check to see if in fact either of those companies have a Chief Diversity Officer. If so, we can start a boycott and call it "Wipe Out Diversity!"

I get the same treatment at some places. It seems that my presence is an imposition and that they have other things they'd rather be doing than their job.
