President Bush traveled to the home of Thomas Jefferson Friday to help swear in new U.S. citizens as part of Independence Day celebrations.
"When you raise your hands and take the oath you will complete an incredible journey. This journey has taken you from many different countries and has now made you one people," Bush said at the naturalization ceremony at historic Monticello in Charlottesville, Virginia.
"From this day forward, the history of the United States will be part of your heritage. The Fourth of July will be a part of your independence day and I will be honored to call you a fellow American." he said.
Bush was heckled several times, with some people yelling "War criminal!" One man shouted, "This man has brought fascism to our shores!" About nine people were removed from the ceremony.
"Impeach Bush. Impeach Bush. Amend the Constitution," shouted another protester, prompting both cheers and boos from the audience of about 3,000 people.
Bush appeared to depart from his prepared speech to reply: "To my fellow citizens-to-be, we believe in freedom in the United States of America," eliciting loud cheers.

I favor compassionate treatment for these kinds of mentally ill people as well as a free education for these particular types of moonbats...
Fly them in transports over some African hell-hole country, give them parachutes and kick them out in flight - stark naked. Then, if they make it back to the US, I’d guess a 99% certainty they will be cured of the mental disease that afflicts them.
If not, repeat prescription until positive results are obtained.

And if Bush were even half as bad as they insist that he is, he’d have given a nod to the Secret Service guys and the moonbats would have been stuffed into a van and never seen again.
A friend of mine (from Ethiopia) was sworn in a couple of weeks ago. I’m very happy for him and hope that he succeeds beyond his wildest dreams.
What I want to know is how that moonbat woman was allowed to rush the stage and get so close to the President. BTW this is the same moonbat who shoved hands of fake blood in the face of Secretary Rice.

I am assuming the part of the constitution they want to amend is that one that guarantees them the right to defend themselves with weapons of their choice. Not one moon bat has ever actually said what impeachable offense Bush has committed. Don’t we have a Democratic congress now? Then why don’t they impeach him if they think they have grounds? A guy I worked with for years, a mexican national who was here legally, finally got his citizenship after years of trying about 7 years ago. I have never seen a happier man. While he still had his green card he had to make a yearly trip back to Mexico, he hated doing that and was over joyed when he finally made it. He makes his kids speak English, while also teaching them spanish but as a second language. This is the kind of immigrant we need, not the illegal, law breaking a**hats that sneak across the border and think we owe them a living.
In the U.S., the President is both Head of State and Head of Government. Still, Bush was acting as Head of State — representing the nation — when he performed this ceremony. It's clear to me that the protesters were being disrespectful of a symbol of the nation — just as if they had stomped upon and burnt flags.
I wish every American a happy Independence Day (although I'm sorry that you're not part of the Commonwealth).

I did NOT watch the video, “BUT”.... if someone “RUSHED” at the POTUS, that is NOT an exercise in FREE SPEECH, that is an OVERT ACT that is a direct threat against the President and whoever did it should be taken down with prejudice, and arrested!!

As one of the moonbats was being escorted away he yelled repeatedly, "Police state!," and I thought, "If it were you wouldn't be given a chance to yell that, not more than once." It was wonderful how what was happening proved his complaint not only unfounded but ridiculous.

I was in my fifties before I finally saw Mt. Rushmore, with my hubby and children. Unfortunately, that was the day that some homosexuals decided to make their presence known at the foot of the monument, complete with bullhorns shouting their spew. There was no place we could go where our children, and we adults, could go without hearing this trash.
Free speech never meant anytime, anywhere, anyhow. The code pinkos should be allowed to have their say, but should not be allowed to disrupt an official ceremony, or to run towards the president, in this way without serious consequences.
I notice that no one was charged. That’s just wrong.
Perhaps they should amend the constitution to require an IQ above 75 to vote...that way "progressives" will never gain power.
