For nearly two years, the South Florida middle school art teacher forced the boy to have sex in a classroom supply closet.
Sometimes, Aaron Mohanlal would call in sick to work, take the boy to his home for sex and drop the seventh-grader back off at school at the end of the day.
To keep the abuse secret, Mohanlal bought the 13-year-old a cell phone and created nicknames for their genitalia. When police arrested him, the teacher was caught on hidden video trying to destroy letters threatening the boy if he ever told.
Last summer, a Broward County jury convicted Mohanlal of 13 counts, including child abuse, molestation and lewd battery, and a judge sentenced him to 43 years.
But a year later, Mohanlal has yet to spend a day in prison.

pt st lucie is right down 95 from us. i was just reading this story and was going to post also. my first thought was bill o’reilly. i am sure he will hit on it. unbelievable is all i can say. it just amazes me the stories (and the number of them) that come out of florida. i think we are the 2nd coming of massachusettes.

Actually, "the school district" didn't pay anything. Us taxpayers did. TAKE THE MONEY FROM THE "ADMINISTRATORS."
A dozen legal experts, including criminal attorneys based in Florida, said they agree with Bernstein. None could recall a single case of a violent offender receiving the same kind of treatment.
Other students in Mohanlal's class testified that their teacher handed them fliers, with the boy's picture and phone number, that falsely accused the teen of having sex with animals. Caught on surveillance camera at a grocery store copying the fliers, prosecutors say Mohanlal had become a disturbed lover scorned when the boy entered high school and began rejecting his advances.
And there was evidence that Mohanlal was grooming other children. One middle-schooler told police that Mohanlal rubbed his arms and back during class; another testified at trial that his teacher gave him his cell phone number, money and hair conditioner.
This judge will rue the day he let this perp back on the streets for an appeal. LET HIM APPEAL FROM JAIL!! Guess he's part of the protected pedophile class.
How long is this bond good for? Forever?

Also in Florida, 20-year old Shawn Strawser is scheduled to be released from prison next week. He was convicted of forcing four girls, aged 7 to 10, to perform oral sex on him - prosecutors asked for 49 years, but Judge Marc Gold sentenced him to just 15 months.

This is one weird family. They scrounged up assets from the guys three siblings and the father to back the bond. All three siblings live with the father and are said to be students or work part time (one is a missionary with no assets that “travels the world). Aaron is 41 years old and the father is 71 years old... so I assume his siblings are all in their 30s or 40s. Living with dad and no employment? What a winning family! /s
It is so disgusting that this judge can find reason to let this monster out on bail, yet Kathleen Cardone couldn’t find on inkling of a reason to let Ramos and Compean free waiting their (long overdue) appeal. GRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Thanks, I didn’t see that. In other words they work they system. Our tax dollars educate them for decades, then they get a government school job. And when they molest our children, we spend the money to convict them and don’t lock them up! What a country!

Several bloggers have wondered over the last few years why this wasn’t covered more by the media. There’s the answer.
Not one media report mentioned the guy is an alien.
Many school districts are hiring non citizens as teachers. This is just one reason it’s a lousy idea.
Some people need killin’.
