McCain apparently does not realize that the deaths on American soil, directly caused by illegal aliens, since 9/11/01 has way surpassed the deaths of troops fighting the WOT.

Not to minimize the lives lost overseas - but hey, Sen. McCain! Look at your own country - we are striving to survive our ‘own war’ with open borders and loss of life. We are receiving no support whatsoever from those we elected to represent us.

And the death toll in the Unites States of America continues to rise.....................

McCain is an ardent supporter of amnesty and open borders.
And these are only two of the reasons I can’t stand this old drooling fool.
Great, the only positive thing I can say about McCain is that he is better than Obamma Lamma Ding Dong.
Pretty sad state we’ve allowed ourselves to get in to with these two oafs.

Good post. It is pathetic that McCain, Obama and most other politicians don't care or actually desire the destruction of our nation.

“McCain is an ardent supporter of amnesty and open borders.”

Must be prerequisite for membership in the CFR? Also explains Obama's tendencies. His wife is on the board at the Chicago CFR.

I received Tancredo’s letter on the same day I received a solicitation from the McCain campaign. Tancredo’s letter goes in the paid envelope to McCain.

Well, at least you didn't rule it out completely.

CFR and it's supporters have done a fine job of convincing much of the public you would be some kind of conspiracy nut or Tin-foiler to believe they have ANY effect on world economic or political policy. They're just a think tank don't ya know.

That’s exactly right. That’s because some people see the illegal alien invasion as a “single issue.” Nothing is further from the truth. If one considers the very serious and enormously expensive results of violent crimes, bankrupt public school districts, insolvent hospitals and healthcare costs, rising social welfare expenses and the astronomical human and fiscal costs of the drug cartel (which loves those open borders) one realizes immediately that it’s a clear and present danger - to American sovereignty and our very cultural survival.

I wondered why Tancredo was bothering with this. McCain is pro-amnesty -- not exactly breaking news.

But then I read Tancredo's letter. One point that's not in the excerpt here: It was a closed-door meeting. No members of the press or public allowed. No one to report what McCain promised the Hispanic leaders.

OK, that's worth calling attention to.

Sadly, McCain’s instincts are almost always wrong. His political career has been marked by ungrateful wins and bitter losses. His clumsy and reckless military career would not have been possible but for the platinum spoon he was born with. Now we have to hold our noses and vote for him to avoid his socialist opponent.

I think I’m staying home for the first time in 40 years.

I worked hard for Tancredo (I liked Hunter, too) here in FL. We all knew he wouldn’t win the primaries but he’s one of our heroes because he raised the consciousness of all Americans to the very serious threat posed by the illegal invasion. He, more than any other single person, alerted the nation to a very serious issue and made it a permanent part of the national conversation. In my opinion, he’s still the real winner!

Good point. There’s something about “behind closed doors” that the Straight Talk Express seems to like. If you recall, when the McCain/Kennedy “comprehensive immigration” amnesty bill was before the Senate many of the details were arranged behind closed doors. These sordid details were only reluctantly divulged when an outraged public demanded it.

These sordid details were only divulged

..when the courageous Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama..

.. took to the floor of the Senate and exposed/revealed the plans McCain/Kennedy/etc.,w Bush approval made in secret.....thanks to Heritage Foundation, NumbersUSA, finding out about it.

Otherwise, and you better believe it, this would have been a done deal before the American citizens had any idea what had just happened to their sovereignty and way of life.

We were that close to losing it...

..save for Jeff Sessions and the millions of phone calls placed to the DC phone lines, the faxes, the letters, the personal visits!!!!
We closed down the phone lines!!....and by God's grace, stopped the bullet.

That bought us time to wake up and realize how much danger we're in!

I agree. He was my first choice for POTUS. But since he was a Rep. and lacked sufficient name recognition, I held out no great hope. I am glad he ran because it helped to popularize issues such as the dangers of illegal aliens.

Look back through the posts of Chicagolady. She was at one of his closed door events in Chicago.

You’re absolutely right! I sent Jeff Sessions a letter thanking him for all his tireless and brilliant work. I myself am a long-time Heritage member and they, too, deserve credit especially Robert Rector who was very active and influential. I still hear from NumbersUSA and support them. The fact is the VAST majority of Americans were awakened to the reality that we were being sold out by the Senate and they hit back! The list is long, as you indicated, but let’s not forget Lou Dobbs - who played a tremendous role!

Rush mentioned that McCain won because so many of the primaries were “open” and that you could be anything from a liberal Democrat to a Maoist and vote in them. He said there was certainly an element of “sabotage” involved. Here in FL we have a “closed” primary but McCain still won. I think that’s because FL has a state legislature that’s 2/3 Republican and Gov. Crist(R) and Sen. Mel Martinez(R) used their great influence to move the whole GOP machine in favor of McCain. We also have a very large number of active and retired military who love McCain. But, in general, I think Rush was right. Do you agree?

It was decided long ago....

..that's why it didn't make a whit of difference when McCain was exposed & discredited after the Amnesty Bill....

He knew it wouldn't matter....he had been annointed to 'carry on'.

I still think it will be Obama/Clinton in the end ....with John McCain as the faux foil.....it's all a game to them.

We, the people, have no voice...

..or do we?
