Obama's Pompous Circumstance - International Pandering Bound to Backfire
Capitol Hill ^ | Jul 25, 08 | JB Williams

Presidential candidate Barack Obama has taken his pander machine on the road around the world in an effort to demonstrate two points vital to the success of his campaign for the office of Commander-in-Chief…

* That he is willing to step into the hot zone and confront facts on the ground as defined by military and security experts before setting his official international security policy in stone. * That despite a nearly blank résumé, void of any military or security experience whatsoever, executive or otherwise, he has what it takes to become the next Commander-in-Chief of the last remaining super-power during a time of war, great international turmoil and continued threat of death and destruction on U.S. soil.

Watching what has become ObamaTV, 24/7 alphabet network coverage of every Obama “er – ah – uh – hm – uh – huh – er” uttered, it’s clear that the mainstream American media is desperate to demonstrate Obama’s readiness to be the big cheese by showing the fantastic rock-star welcome he is receiving abroad.

To the average American onlooker, the term “Obamessiah” looks more and more appropriate as the news networks work around the clock to show how Europe and the Middle East react to his arrival as if he were indeed the second coming… The propaganda has boosted Obama to a 4 point lead over McCain this week.

But how real are those rock-star images being beamed around the globe via satellite for American voter consumption back home?

I was listening to a local talk show yesterday on the way home home - a LOT of people were calling in, very disturbed, talking about Obama as the possible AntiChrist. I don't think this problem for Obama is going to go away as his megalomania/ego grows to gigantic proportions before our very eyes.

Rasmussen was reporting 4 points, now 5 points today.

Weighted poll averages support these numbers as well, although single polls (like the FOX poll) show no such trend (yet).

The massive coverage alone will cause some bump. But it may also backfire in the end, when American voters figure out that the people who love him abroad, don’t think much of capitalist pig Americans in the states...

Well, if John says so, it must be!

Too bad he’s campaigning for International Secretary General of the One World Order instead of POTUS...

Amazing!

If you notice, both here and abroad, the vast majority of his supporters are college age kids. Impressionable minds are the devil’s playpen...

Barry has actually achieved a "jump the shark" moment. He is not getting any bounce from his college-backpack-hostel tour of Europe, but actually is in a near free-fall. A decline in Barry's polls, and an "awakening" of the electorate to his false-god image is a real "change I can believe in".

From Wiki: "Jumping the shark is a colloquialism used by U.S. TV critics and fans to denote the point in a TV or movie series at which the characters or plot veer into a ridiculous, out-of-the-ordinary storyline. Shows that have "jumped the shark" are typically deemed to have passed their peak, since they have undergone too many changes to retain their original appeal, and after this point critical fans often sense a noticeable decline in the show's quality."

"The term is an allusion to a scene in a 1977 episode of the TV series Happy Days when the popular character Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli literally jumps over a shark while water skiing. The scene was considered so preposterous that many believed it to be an attempt at reviving the declining ratings of the flagging show. Ironically, not only was Happy Days reflecting the superstardom of real-life shark-jumper Evel Knievel in the episode, but the series was wildly successful in 1977."

He's not the anti-Christ, but he did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night...

And he save money by switching to Geico!

Sorry, where's the "Friday Silliness Thread" already? We're overdue...

I asked on another post, if he was deliberately trying to sabotage his campaign, to make it easier for Hillary to swoop in on her broomstick, and get the nomination?

I really hope he pisses off the press people, or at least some of them. This should be fun.

He's not that smart to think that way. Why would he do Hillary a favor? He is concurrently tripping over his huge ego, his lack of oration skills when off the 'prompter, and his lack of experience.

Has anyone put a monetary figure on what Obama has spent on his Magical Mystery Tour?

Is George Soros funding the whole trip???

Whatever - wouldn’t the money have been put to better use if Obama had used what few brains he had and uplifted some of the families in poverty in this nation (which is what he is preaching much of the time??)

I resent those who act and behave like kings (or elected officials) when they spend other peoples’ money in self promotion.

Obama's idol-creation, media blitz campaign is on it's world-wide tour. He is over doing it, and seems to believe his own hype. His arrogance will not let him believe any other way.

But underneath all the hype and glitz, he is a not very well spoken (unless reading other's words on a teleprompter), abject marxist and militant anti-America,

His own willful associations of long standing, his own positions on the issues in the IL and US Senate, and his own positions make all of that very clear.

His blind followers are largely of the “sucker-mom” and “frat-house” sort...

You see them in attendence here and abroad.

The DNC “voter registration” push is in these two groups, as well as the black, felon, and illegal immigration communities.

Collectively, these groups will guarantee Obambi at least 43% of the national vote come November, no matter what an obvious fraud he is to any thinking voter.

The question is, will the other 57% unite to defeat him? Or will they remain divided on principles, and allow him to become president with 43% of the national vote?

My take is this:

Obama's ardent followers (including the MSM) are not swayed by logic, reason, or truth, and regardless of his positions, his gaffes, his past, or his associations, he is an idol and they the idolaters. His campaign media-blitz has been designed and engineered to evoke just such mindless hero worship without considering specific positions.

Nothing you can say or do will convince these people otherwise...

Because I am the one they and I have been waiting for...and I am lovin' it.

Those wild-eyed people represent the millions of Americans raised in the government day-care and indoctrination centers we call public schools who did not have, or would not listen to, parents and others who tried to counterweight the propaganda they heard at school...who have been raised on 60 second sound bite time spans and know no better.

You have other tens of millions on the dole who will vote for him regardless of position because he promises to keep pilfering the public largess for them.

Still othes of millions will vote for him simply because he is black, not caring to hear or look at his actual positions.

Other millions will vote for him because they know exactly who he is and what he represents and agree with his anti-American positions.

The first three are all what is termed, useful idiots, a term coined by Lennin for the dupes he got to support him.

Against this it is left to us to educate, arouse, and amass the tens of millions of Americans, of all races and creeds, who understand and hold fast to the foundational principles our constitutional republic rests upon...many of them the bitter, rural Americans clinging to their guns and religion that Obama so arrogantly spoke of.

boosted Obama to a 4 point lead

For all the money and media hype that should be 40 points. The fact that somebody calls 4 points a 'boost' shows that something is amiss. At this stage in the campaigns, 4 points is a wobble not a boost.
