Earlier this year I wrote what, at the time, I thought was a tongue in cheek column titled, "Obama The Antichrist? Hmm." The commentary was in response to what I believed was an irrationally positive response to the Obama presidential run. There seemed to be a mystical quality surrounding Obama's campaign. People were fainting, journalists were saying their legs were tingling while listening to Obama's speeches, it seemed very strange to me. In fact, it seemed so strange, I tried to make light of the situation with my commentary. However, since I wrote the piece, I have learned some Obama...

In this audio Obama coldly claims two doctors helping a baby born alive after a botched abortion would be a burden for the aborting mother when he is arguing against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act at the Illinois state legislature April 2002. Obama doesn’t care about the baby getting the medical attention, just whether or not the aborting mother is burdened.

Spokesman: Obama doesn't think McCain tried to cast him as antichrist [UPDATED] In an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network's David Brody last night, Obama didn't dispute the theory that McCain is portraying him as the antichrist -- though an aide said he didn't intend to respond directly to that part of the question, and that he disagrees with Democrats who think McCain's advertising campaign has sought to cast Obama as the antichrist. Political commentators are comparing McCain's portrayal of competitor Barack Obama with the blockbuster apocalyptic series' depiction of the antichrist. But even the series authors Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins don't think Obama is the antichrist. What may have been created as a farce has generated a firestorm of controversy on the internet. A 1954 WELS pamphlet entitled Antichrist put it this way: “It was because Luther cherished the Gospel so dearly that his faith instinctively recoiled and protested in unmistakable terms when the Pope put himself in the place of Christ and declared His work insufficient and in vain. That is the use to which Luther’s faith put the prophecy of Scripture. For him the tenet that the Pope is the Antichrist was...

Now that we have established our definition of Antichrist we can start with simple quotes and study of the Bible that will enlighten the mind and focus a beam of truth at phrases and logos being used to describe our so called Messiah. "People will deliver you up to tribulation and will kill you, and you will be objects of hatred... and many false prophets will arise and mislead many." -Matthew 24:9, 11. Judging from recent comments, Mr. Obama apparently would pay no price, bear no burden, forsake any hardship, support any foe and oppose any friend that wished to pursue liberty. Mr. Obama thinks he can negotiate with evil and transform evil into something else. Reports of women weeping and swooning -- even of an audience applauding when The One cleared his proboscis (blew his nose for you mortals) -- have become frequent events in the heavenly realm of Obi-Wan Obama. ABC News' Eloise Harper: For the first time the press has been invited to join New York Senator Hillary Clinton on an outing to church - a woman led the congregation, Associate Pastor Rev Jill Flyr. Coincidently the topic of the sermon was the Children's Defense Fund - a cause familiar to Clinton - and one she brings up regularly while campaigning. Flyr said to the audience in her sermon ""let the candidates know that they need to be strong advocates for children." Bonnie Campbell, the owner of the church, served in the Clinton administration as Head of the Violence...

On today's "The Situation Room," Sen. Hillary Clinton opened up about her widely-discussed performance during last week's MSNBC debate. (You can watch the video here on Breitbart.tv) "I wasn't at my best the other night," Clinton told CNN's Candy Crowley. "We have had a bunch of debates, and you know, I wouldn't rank that up in my very top list." Following the debate, Clinton's opponents for the 2008 Democratic nomination (as well as Hillary detractors generally) criticized the New York senator for being dishonest and evasive, and for flip-flopping on several issues. But Clinton disagreed with some of the criticism:...

Anti-Jewish Attacks in US, Columnist Suggests Jews be Christians by Hana Levi Julian (IsraelNN.com) Anti-Semitic activity in the U.S. is on the rise, with two incidents reported this week on the eastern seaboard as top political columnist declares on national television that “it would be better if we were all Christian.” A rabbi suffered critical wounds after being severely beaten in the latest of several anti-Semitic attacks that have hit the community of Lakewood, New Jersey, home of the world-famous Lakewood Yeshiva. Rabbi Mordechai Moskowitz, age 53, was beaten earlier this week as he was walking to a synagogue. The...

...The issue with Coulter is not whether she can sell books, but whether she helps or hurts the side of the political debate she claims to support. In my opinion, Coulter has never been a big help to the effort to build a conservative and Republican majority. Her most recent comments on the relationship of Christianity to Judaism, made on the CNBC show " The Big Idea" with Donnie Deutsch on Monday of this week , may prove particularly damaging... At a time when party affiliation is fraying and a third of Americans consider themselves independent, to build a majority...
  • Why conservatives should condemn Ann Coulter (vanity)

I've seen a significant amount of support on this board for Ann Coulter's recent comments on CNBC. Let me explain why that support is misplaced: First, as an initial matter, I don't think Coulter's comments about Jews needing to be "perfected" are offensive at all. As an observant Jew, I obviously don't agree with Coulter. But Coulter's remarks here clearly represent standard Christian belief, and it's wrong and intolerant to condemn someone for her basic religious beliefs (provided, of course, that those beliefs don't cause one to do things like blow up Israeli school children or crash airplanes into buildings)....
  • HARRY REID CALLS EVANGELICALS 'ANTI-CHRISTIAN' (Lonsberry)

You can tell a man's character by how he acts when he's a guest in someone's home. By that standard, Harry Reid has none. No character, no class, no honor. He came to Brigham Young University this week, a guest of the school, and he acted like a fool. A dishonest, arrogant, manipulative fool. Harry Reid is the Senate majority leader, a Democrat, and he is also a Mormon. A stealth Mormon. The kind who doesn't let it get in the way of his politics. Certainly, that is rude and judgmental to say. But given the nature of his remarks...

SAN FRANCISCO, September 28, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Following the discovery of an ad for a sadomasochistic street parade in San Francisco which mocked the Last Supper replacing Christ and His Apostles with leather-clad (and unclad) homosexuals, Concerned Women for America (CWA) and other groups called on California legislators to denounce the anti-Christianity.  Rather than denounce the ad, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has derisively dismissed any concerns. Drew Hammill, Pelosi's press secretary, responded to media questions on the offensive ad saying, "As a Catholic, the speaker is confident that Christianity has not been harmed." The offensive ad was put together by...

Shahid Masih, 18, was imprisoned in September 2006 accused of having blasphemed Islam. His presumed accomplice, a Muslim released on caution nine months ago, also absolved. The Christian’s mother died from heartbreak following his arrest. Faisalabad (AsiaNews) –A Pakistani Appeals court yesterday ordered the release of the Christian Shahid Masih – 18, in prison since 2006 on blasphemy charges – and declared him “totally innocent” of the charges. The same verdict for his presumed accomplice, Muhammad Ghaffar, Muslim, freed 9 months ago. The two boys were reported by Dr. Arshad Masood, Muslim, who declared that they tore pages from the...

Perhaps it was appropriate this was announced on 9/11 through a campus-wide e-mail, but we were informed that the University of Dayton (OH), a Catholic University established by the Society of Mary, has now set up a "prayer room" for Muslim students and staff, including Korans and "prayer rugs." I do not know if the university felt this was mandated by government regulations (unfortunately, we take government money) or simply an bent knee toward "diversity," but I imagine the Fathers are rolling over in the cemetary.

THE HAGUE: A 22-year-old Dutch-Iranian will launch a campaign on Tuesday for Muslims to have the right to renounce their faith and find support from peers, a view which has made him the victim of three physical attacks. Although similar initiatives have started elsewhere in Europe, Ehsan Jami's group has stirred intense interest in the Netherlands, which has one million Muslims, and has reignited the country's highly-emotive Islam debate. "We have an enormous problem with apostasy in Islam. We see a lot of problems where people want to leave Islam but they can't," Jami said. "There are five sharia schools...
