Throughout this campaign, we have heard the steady cries of racism ... people say that the only reason the most liberal Senator ever to run for president a leftist Senator with a penchant for Marxist ideology could possibly lose this election is because he is black and people are racist. As we get closer to the election, these stories have exploded into the media. Let's go down the list of the few we got just over the weekend! We have foreign leaders (technically a former leader) like Fidel Castro saying that the only reason million of people will...

I heard something very surprising last night. I was having dinner with some folks with strong business connections in the Southeast. Naturally we discussed the bailout and our general dislike for the idea. One person, who shall remain among the unnamed, told us of a conversation he had this week with a top financial officer of a major and I mean major corporation that would not be able to meet payroll next week if something wasn't done to ease credit. You hear stories like that and you understand first how bad the situation is, and then how bad...

About Nancy Pelosi. She says the Democrats share absolutely none of the blame for the current financial goings-on. She's wrong. In fact, she's lying because she knows here statement to be untrue. I'm going to unload on this when I get back, but here's your primer: 1. Almost all of the financial problems we see today are based on bad mortgage lending. That would be lending money to people to buy homes who didn't qualify for a loan. 2. The Democrats, under Clinton, strengthened a government-created monster called the "Community Reinvestment Act." This law was then used by "activists" and...

Neal Boortz Friday, September 19, 2008 What in the world is going on here? Youve seen the headlines, and you heard of the failures and buyouts. Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns, Merrill Lynch, AIG; all big names and all in big trouble. Then those mysterious quasi-government agencies with names like Freddie and Fannie become wards of the state and you learn that you and your fellow taxpayers are potentially on the hook for tens of billions of dollars. At the end of the week Washington Mutual is looking for a buyer, and you start to wonder about the security of your...

I've been teasing this for weeks ... Barack Obama had opportunities to stand up to the corrupt politics of the Mayor Daley machine ... and didn't. Here's the Readers Digest version of what I am talking about. When Obama was a state senator, he served on the board of several local education foundations. He also chaired the infamous Chicago Annenberg Challenge, created by none other than Bill Ayers. At the time, Chicago education was deeply divided between these local education councils and the central Board of Education overseen by the mayor. For being a man who champions his days as...

OK .. first off, I have no problem at all with the staging. It didn't look like a Greek temple. It did not look like they were trying to present Obama as some kind of a Greek God. I actually thought it was tastefully done. I'll admit to putting the television on mute when Al Gore came on. This man has been so full of complete horse squeeze for so long that I just didn't want to listen to any of it last night. I took that time to unpack. Let's give credit, though. The Chosen One flat filled that...

For many young'uns around the country this is a momentous day. Sadly, for many of them, it is also a tragic one. Today millions of parents who should know better are going to take the most precious things in their lives, their children, and turn them over to the government to be educated. These parents all know that our government education system in this country is beyond horrible --- but for some reason they operate under the impression that the very school that, by chance, their child is going to attend is the one and only exception. Their child's school...

Ya don't say ... every day we see someone who wants to injects race into this presidential campaign. Often times it is coming right from the Big O himself. Other times it is coming from Democrats (like Bill Clinton) or other liberals. This time it comes from Timothy Noah on Slate.com. http://www.slate.com/id/2196756/?from=rss Do you remember a few days ago when I read you a column from the Wall Street Journal about whether or not Barack Obama's skinniness would be a liability in the campaign? http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121755336096303089.html Well according to Timothy Noah, this was a racist article. Was the article lacking in...

Yesterday on the program I played numerous clips of Barack Obama ... all of them had same theme: 'I am the world's savior. Not just America's, but the world.' Who does this guy think he is? Apparently he has moved straight pasT president and on to global guardian. The latest snafu on the Obama trail is a picture of Obama's seat on O-Force One (his fancy plane where the American flag was replaced with the Obama seal). Anyway, the picture shows Obama's chair with the word "President" listed on it. Big deal? Not really. But if you collectively look at...

Well we know someone who has been knocked off Barack Obama's short list for VP. Colorado governor Bill Ritter was on some talk show the other day and man did he stick his foot in his mouth. http://michellemalkin.com/2008/08/04/oops-democrat-on-vp-shortlist-underscores-obamas-inexperience/ The talk show host apparently asked Governor Ritter why he didn't feel he was a good choice for Obama's VP. Ritter's response was, "Well, just because, I think there are a lot of things that he has to take into consideration. I've been governor for 18 months. My experience before that was as a district attorney. I loved being a district attorney...but...

OK .. so that's just my guess, but let's see how close I hit this one. Wherever I went during the last weekend whether a charity golf tournament on Saturday or just hanging around the club or the airport on Sunday the talk was of Obama and his sense of entitlement and arrogance. Last week there were several media stories even from far-left MSNBC about Obama's arrogance and sense of entitlement. I particularly like the quote from Bonnie Erbe quite the liberal, Ms. Erbe about Obama's recent efforts: "From using a logo resembling a...

http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/pelosi-drilling-in-protected-areas-a-hoax-2008-07-10.html Thursday, July 31, 2008 NANCY PELOSI'S FAVORITE WORD: 'HOAX' Nancy Pelosi can come up with no other argument against off shore drilling than to call it a "hoax." She has used this word many times in the past few months. This time she says, "The President has failed in his economic policy, and now he wants to say, 'but for drilling in protected areas offshore, our economy would be thriving and the price of gas would be lower.' That hoax is unworthy of the serious debate we must have to relieve the pain of consumers at the pump and...

A man in Minneapolis by the name of Tom Kleven is training for a triathlon. You know ... the bike, swim, run ... an exhausting physical accomplishment. So on Tuesday night Tom goes to Lake Nokomis to go for a swim. When he returned to shore, there are Minneapolis Park Police waiting for him. They are waiting because they wanted to cite Tom with a violation for "swimming too far." http://kstp.com/article/stories/S529469.shtml?cat=1 p> Tom was attempting to swim shore to shore, but when he got half way across the lake, a lifeguard ordered him to turn around. When he returned, the...

The answer is ... children. Well, maybe a few of them qualify as young adults. But the young 20-somethings of America are becoming extremely politically active and they have chosen their cause: the environment. P Here's an example of what I am talking about. Greenpeace has a summer campaign called "Change It", which teaches 140 young people how to move lawmakers with grassroots campaigns. For 140 slots, Greenpeace received over 1,000 applications. The Greenpeace student coordinator Amanda Starbuck says, "To me, this is the strongest student movement since the 1960s ... The current generation is very environmental-minded and [has] a...

GUESS WHICH CANDIDATE WILL WIN THE HOMELESS VOTE Apparently Barack Obama can count on a newly empowered class of voter: the homeless. Michael Stoops, the executive director of the National Coalition of the Homeless says, "Low income and homeless people are more energized than I have ever seen before." Well ... they're that damned energized, tell them to go out and get a job! The mentality from those in the homeless industry is that if you are homeless you care more about who gets elected because your life depends on your ability to live the life of a parasite. A...

The government bureaucrats of the DC City Council just can't get over the fact that the Supreme Court has upheld your individual right to keep and bear arms. Poor poor pitiful beltway politicians! So rather than repealing their ban on handguns, the council created a new exception -- the handgun ban does not apply to people who want to register a pistol for use in self-defense in the home. http://www.townhall.com/columnists/PaulWeyrich/2008/07/21/a_persistent_threat_to_second_amendment_rights This means that anyone purchasing a handgun to protect a business or for sport shooting is still in violation of the law. http://boortz.com/nuze/index.html Monday, July 21, 2008 I KNOW WHAT WE SHOULD DO ... RAISE TAXES! Congress is currently considering the idea of raising fuel taxes by ten cents. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25751775/ Right now we pay 18.4 cents a gallon on gas and 24.3 cents on diesel. Congress thinks that this would be a great time to increase those taxes that you are paying at the pump. Why???? Well, it seems that our federal government doesn't have enough money to spend on highway projects. The chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, Jim Oberstar presented the House with a list of how many...

Oh man, you just wouldn't believe it. Here's the first paragraph from a column by Noah Barkin that cleared yesterday on Reuters: BERLIN (Reuters) - European fans will cheer on U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama as he visits Berlin, Paris and London this week, but governments wary of his inexperience and evolving policies fear the euphoria is overdone. http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSL2047833920080720 And how ... Commencement Address ( Texas A&M) Date: Thu, 24 Jan 2008 This should be considered must-reading for every adult in North America . It is extremely rare that anyone speaks the truth like this at any College or High School Commencement Address. Neal Boortz is a Texan, a lawyer, a Texas AGGIE (Texas A&M), and now a nationally syndicated talk show host from Atlanta . His commencement address to the graduates of this year's A&M class is far different from what either the students or the faculty expected. His views are thought provoking. "I am honored by the invitation to address...

I've often said that our government schools are just miserable failures. For some time now I've been wondering if I'm not dead wrong about this. Over the last year or so I've been reading a book by John Taylor Gatto called "The Underground History of American Education." The book isn't cheap. Almost fifty bucks in paperback .. but the information is priceless. One Amazon.com reviewer of this book wrote: "The major premise here is that American schooling has been dumbed down to provide mindless, loyal workers who cannot think for themselves. At least this is the schooling provided to the...

This truly is the American Idol election. Yesterday afternoon the big news was the fact that Barack Obama has decided to change venues for his acceptance speech at the Democrat National Convention. Apparently the Pepsi Center, which holds 19,000 people, was not big enough for this American Idol candidate. Now he will accept the nomination in the stadium that is home of the Denver Broncos, which holds 76,000 people. That is quadruple the amount of people originally planned. But Obama isn't the first candidate to make such a move ... John F. Kennedy apparently did something similar back in 1960....

OBAMA'S ATTACK ON THE ACHIEVERS To the surprise of absolutely nobody, Barack Obama launched several attacks on achievement yesterday, slamming John McCain's tax proposals. Obama absolutely cannot stand the idea of successful people being allowed to keep more of the money they earn. After all, as Obama would tell you, those people don't actually need that money, so it is perfectly OK for the government to seize that excess cash and use it for various vote-buying schemes. Obama likes to say that nobody earning less than $250,000 a year would have their taxes increased under his plan. Well, isn't that...

thought it would be really clever to exploit this oil situation in Florida. Yeah. He says, "If we control access to something the rest of the country wants, we should be darn sure we get something good in return." So his idea? Make the nation agree to national hurricane insurance. In other words, in order for Florida to become a part of the solution, we must agree to fork over some taxpayer dollars to people who have knowingly chosen to live in a hurricane area (like me, for...

Here's a letter from a government school teacher who has been teaching for 38 years. She seems to be upset that one school got more funding than another. This is Martha Smith's reason why her county should be getting more money for its government schools. She says, "Education is a right guaranteed by our federal and state constitutions which entitles all students to be educated fairly and equally." Equally? Just how in the hell does this government employee figure that every person in this country can be educated equally? Wouldn't we all have to have equal IQs? Wouldn't we all...

THE WORLD ACCORDING TO ALICIA KEYS Just in case you didn't know it, Alicia Keys has informed us that Gangsta Rap was invented, apparently by white people, to get black people to kill each other. Have you seen this delicious little quote from Pennsylvania Democrat Congressman Paul Jankorski? Why it would seem that Mr. Jankorski is admitting that the Democrats lied about what was going on in Iraq during the 2006 mid-term elections? Here's his quote: "I'll tell you my impression. We really in this last election, when I say we ... the Democrats ... that if we won the Congressional elections we could stop the war. Now anybody who was a good student of government would know that wasn't true. "But you know ... the temptation to want to win back the Congress ......

Not yet. But they CAN and thanks to the envirowhackos and the Democrats, WE CAN'T!!!! Yesterday Florida Senator Mel Martinez said that China drilling off the coast of Cuba was merely an urban legend. So because we here at the Neal Boortz Show are so incredibly fair and balanced ... we have tried to get to the bottom of this mystery. Here's what we found. All the way back in 2004, China's Petrochemical Corporation known as Sinopec signed a memorandum of understanding with Cuba's national oil company, known as Cupet to explore four oil blocks in Cuba. Keep in mind...

When it comes to John McCain, he has some good ideas and then he has some not so good ideas. His stance on earmark spending, for example. Now there's a good idea. But then he panders to the global warming crowd. That is the John McCain that frustrates me and a lot of conservatives. When it comes to taxes, McCain doesn't seem to be any different. Here are some of his better ideas: -Extending the Bush tax cuts -Lowering the corporate tax rate -Maintaining a low capital gains tax -Phasing out the alternative minimum tax (which will save 25 million...

In Minnesota, three government high school seniors were suspended and banned from graduation ceremonies for a prank involving Confederate flags. The principal says they were suspended for violating the school district's anti-discrimination rules. The Bloomington Kennedy High School says that three male students brought the flags onto school property. They were apparently suspended after "carrying and waving" the flags in the parking lot as parents and students arrived at school. Something tells me there is more to this story. Ok, here we have a government school that has suspended some students for bringing a freaking flag on school grounds. There...

Well .. seems a bit late, don't you think? The Republicans, knowing that they're in a huge heap of trouble in this year's election, are looking for a new message that will light a fire under the voters. House minority leader John Boehner says "We have to show Americans that we can fix the problems here in Washington." Hey, John. A little late there. If the Republicans want to make a bold move to stop the bleeding they're going to have to go beyond slogans. As you'll read below, they just participated in the passage of a huge, bloated and...

Don't liberals just love to holler about "tax cuts for the rich?" It doesn't matter what the facts are people just love to hear that stuff. In a country awash with achievement envy (a/k/a "wealth envy") people just love to hear that those who have accomplished more than they are going to be hammered for daring to excel. Here's a quickie look at the figures since 1986. 1. The share of the income tax paid by the top 1 percent of income earners went from 25.8 percent to over 37 percent. 2. The percentage their total income that the...

What the government and the Bush administration doesn't want to tell you is that food prices are increasing because of government. Government demanded a five-fold increase in the production of corn-based ethanol fuel in order to appease environmentalists. Now the Bush administration wants to blame rising food prices on high energy costs. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/main.jhtml?xml=/money/2008/04/14/ccview114.xml Could he possibly be talking about the high ethanol prices that are caused by all of those government subsidies for the ethanol industry? Just wondering. Just take a look at the facts. Consumer food prices generally rise by about 2.5% a year. In 2007, these prices rose...

OK ... STAND BY FOR ME TO GO BALLISTIC ABOUT FAIRTAX OPPONENTS Twenty two million dollars. For those of you who do better with numbers than letters, that would be $22,000,000.00. That's the amount of money spent to come up with the original FairTax plan. This money was spent on research by economists and other financial groups; on focus groups across the country; and on comprehensive studies of alternative ways of raising revenue for the operation of government and the consequences of those various methods. Twenty-two million bucks, and day after day we have to suffer the uninformed and frankly...

DOUBLE TAXING THE RICHAccording to lawmakers in Illinois, being "rich" means that you (and your spouse) make at least $250,000. And because you are so lucky to be wealthy, the lawmakers want to DOUBLE income taxes on the wealthy. The current tax plan taxes everyone at a rate of 3%, but lawmakers want to increase that to 6% for those evil rich. They say the change would generate $3 billion annually. The money will be split equally between funding for government education, government-sponsored construction and tax relief for those less fortunate. Translate: One-third of the tax increase for teacher's unions...

Last night on the "Talking Points" segment of his show O'Reilly was talking about Obama's speech and the racial dialogue in this country. O'Reilly said that we are never going to be able to engage in a constructive dialogue on race in this country as long as there are so many bogus charges of racism. He's right. Whites in America know that they can't engage in any honest dialogue on racial matters because there will always be some race-baiter out there who is going to start yelling racism. Whenever you say anything of a critical nature about a black person...

Now ... let's see if I remember all this correctly. In reading excerpts from Obama's first book, "Dreams From My Father," I thought I read about all of the personal anguish he went through trying to deal with his racial makeup. Then I could swear that I though I read of the extreme discomfort he felt living in a white world, and the scorn he felt for whites. Well .. I guess that has all changed now. Today we are going to be blessed with a major Barack Obama speech on race. Perhaps that's a good thing. Obama certainly brings...

#It is no real surprise to learn that while John McCain is visiting our troops in Iraq, Hillary Clinton is back in America declaring that Iraq is a war that "we cannot win." She says that McCain's course of action would leave us in Iraq for another 100 years, compared to Hillary's plan to get us out by 2009. On McCain and George Bush, Hillary says, "They both want to keep us tied to another country's civil war, a war we cannot win ... That in a nutshell is the Bush/McCain Iraq policy. Have you heard the story of Amanda Rouse? Amanda is a government high school student in the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District in Seaside, California. http://boortz.com/nuze/index.html OBAMA AND THE PASTOR Trite? Perhaps so ... clich้? You bet. True? Absolutely. You are known by the company you keep ... especially if you happen to be in politics. There has been talk of Obama's pastor, Jeremiah Wright, for many months now. We've all heard of the frankly un-American rants that the "Rev." Wright has delivered from the pulpit of Obama's United Church of Christ. Obama had always been able to distance himself from Wright's outrageous and bigoted remarks. Obama would tell us that he wasn't there when the sermons were delivered .. and the media seemed willing...

I was sorting out some papers over the weekend ... and came upon one of my favorites. It's a page out of an "Activity Book" published by Harcourt Brace, now called Harcourt Education. The heading for this page says: "In the late eighteenth century many people complained that the Constitution did not list rights of the people. So the authors of the Constitution decided to write a Bill of Rights. These first ten amendments to the Constitution state simply and...

Now I know that with our system of government schools there is every excuse for people to be badly misinformed on critical issues. Let's face it ... these government schools have been more interested in feeding you dogma than the truth. Let's take the idea that our country is a democracy, for instance. I would guess that virtually every government school in this nation teaches its hostages (students) that the United States is a democracy. Now don't you find this just a bid odd, considering the fact that neither the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution or the constitutions of...

I covered this on the Information Overload portion of the Boortz show yesterday. Web Guy and Cristina tell me that there have been hundreds of email requests to put the information here in the Nuze. I'm sure you remember Hillary screeching about wanting "to take those profits" so that she could spend them. Recap: In 2006 Exxon reported profits of $39.5 billion. Politicians went nuts. You've heard, haven't you, about the epidemic of faintings at Obama rallies? Not sure how many times its happened .. four, maybe five. But what is going on here? Women get so overcome with emotion upon seeing their idol that the excitement just overtakes them and they faint. Avoiding the Critics -- Again In order to answer one's critics, one must first face criticism honestly. Unfortunately, the authors fail to do so in their latest book. The primary criticisms of the FairTax fall within three categories: (a) the FairTax rate would need to be extremely high in order to replace our current tax system and still fund the government, (b) the burden of the FairTax will fall primarily on the middle class, and (c) the FairTax will be virtually impossible to enforce. Despite listing these criticisms among the many that they allegedly refute, the authors fail to address...

http://boortz.com/nuze/index.html I think that we should give this election a theme. Now I know that the politicians are all using the "change" word.
