Two polls separate polls show a substantial number of Hillary Clinton’s supporters are considering voting for a Republican president, rather than Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama in November. A USA TODAY/Gallup poll conducted last Thursday-Sunday found 23 percent of Clinton’s supporters said they may vote for GOP presidential candidate John McCain in November. 47 percent said they were “solidly” Obama. LINCOLN, Neb. - A straw poll conducted at Husker Harvest Days shows the Nebraska farmers and ranchers who voted support Fred Thompson and Barack Obama for president. The unscientific poll was administered to 552 people at the Nebraska Farm Bureau event this week in Grand Island. Of the 387 who voted Republican, 36% picked Thompson, 16% picked Sen.
