An investigation into GOP vice-presidential nominee, Govern Sarah Palin’s firing of Commissioner of Public Safety, Walk Monegan, concluded that “Governor Palin’s firing of Commissioner Monegan was a proper and lawful exercise of her constitutional and statutory authority to hire and fire executive branch department heads.” “This does nothing to diminish the seriousness of the charges,” said CBS News anchor, Katie Couric. “The allegation that she was acting within her constitutional authority is a technicality. The fact remains, a man lost his job due to Ms. Palin’s actions. This raises questions about her sensitivity and judgment.”

ALEC BALDWIN EXPLAINS ALEC BALDWIN In case you haven’t heard, or in case you don’t give a tinker’s dam, Alec Baldwin, fellow Long Islander, bon vivant, actor, dad, and arch-liberal, has been going through a rather messy divorce with Kim Bassinger. Here, he finally speaks out concerning his youth and childhood, his early years in acting, how much he loves kids, and what he learned from his parents about child-rearing, including, “You can give your child many things, but the greatest gifts are your attention and your time.”http://www.aolhealth.com/healthy-living/relationships/alec-baldwin-divorce-fatherhood?icid=200100397×1211415957x1200658787. Nowhere in his self-serving ramblings does he specifically refer to the infamous...

‘If Barack Obama doesn’t become the next president of the United States,” says comedian Sarah Silverman, “I’m going to blame the Jews.” According to the New York Times, “she’s mostly kidding.” Kidding or not, that’s the premise of “The Great Schlep” — a four-minute internet video where the popular star of her own Comedy Central series, who is Jewish herself, urges young Jews to trek to hotly contested Florida to convince their elderly grandparents to vote for Obama. Given that Jews as a demographic traditionally vote overwhelmingly Democratic anyway, it’s not clear why all this effort is necessary. But with...

It was revealed that Homer Simpson, noted slacker and goof-off on the hit TV show, The Simpsons, will be casting his vote for Obama on the episode that will air on November 2. “Obama cares about people like me,” Simpson says. “I haven’t been blessed with intelligence, a strong work-ethic, or sound moral judgment. But I have needs. An Obama Administration will make it easier for guys like me to get what we need.”

Finally, we have a sneak preview of the cover of W magazine, which was photographed by Brad Pitt. The actor pictured his beloved wife Angelina Jolie smiling and breastfeeding her newborn babies. What an idyll!

Kate Moss We love YSL for Stefano Pilati’s aesthetics, which he brought to the house, their shoes, and the third thing we love about the brand are their BAGS. The YSL ‘Easy’ bag caught our eye when Kate Moss, Emma Watson and Kylie Minogue started toting them around the town. Lily Allen, Lindsay Lohan and Julianne Moore were captivated by the ‘Easy’ too.

CBS News anchor, Katie Couric characterized Republican vice-presidential nominee, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as “dangerously uninformed and naïve.” “She doesn’t watch my show or any other major network news program,” Couric complained. “She doesn’t read the New York Times, Washington Post or any other respected daily newspaper. Her sources for news are something called the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman, the local Wasilla TV station KTUU, and, get this, some blog called Free Republic. Do the American voters want someone this far outside of the mainstream to be a heartbeat from becoming president?”

The screen caption that peeved the left.* * * * *LA Weekly reports that the timid souls at NBC have decided to put a modified version of the video showing the "Saturday Night Live" skit that lampooned George Soros and Herb and Marion Sandler back up (see our previous blog entries on the skit here and here): On the past weekend's Saturday Night Live, a brutal but hilarious Democrat-bashing skit aired about the $700 billion federal bailout and the insanity of those subprime mortgages, and it featured lookalikes for George W. Bush, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, hedge fund billionaire and...

Esquire magazine has named Halle Berry as the sexiest woman alive in its November issue. “I don’t know exactly what it means, but being 42 and having just had a baby, I think I’ll take it,” says Berry.

It was a great star studded party last night, as Hollywood’s most stunning ladies, gathered at Elle magazine’s Women in Hollywood Tribute in Los Angeles. Let’s check out what Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lopez, Eva Mendes, Halle Berry and others were wearing on the red carpet! Anne Hathaway has recently appeared on the red carpets only in Marc Jacobs dresses from his Spring 2009 collection, and last night was no exception, as Anne chose the designer’s navy and red metallic dress. Halle Berry showed some curves in a black satin top and flower printed skirt.

Weekend Box Office: ‘Carol’ Disappoints But Christians Beat The Hater Posted by Dirty Harry on Monday, October 6th, 2008 An American Carol pulled in a disappointing $3.8 million over the weekend on just over 1600 screens to come in at #7. However, on far fewer screens (500), Religulous pulled in nearly the same amount ($3.5 million). I blame the election. No, really. The conservative base is pretty frustrated right now, teetering on demoralized, as McCain seemingly sinks lower and lower. Had An American Carol come out those few days right after the convention when we were flying high these box...

As if we needed any more evidence of the moral decay of the MSM and their blatant bias towards Obama and away from McCain, ABC's "20/20" special on the Candidate's made even Al Jazeera seem far more "Fair and balanced" than Fox. It was so bad that ABC ought to think about creating a spin-off of "UGly Betty" and call it "Dumb Dianne" as Sawyer pitched a lot of fluff balls to Michele OBama while throwing rocks at Cindy McCain. We heard extensive coverage of McCain's infidelity, the Keating Five scandal with maximum innuendoes about McCain and minimal mention of...

The Council for American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) demanded that the Federal Election Commission (FEC) crack down on the distribution of the DVD film “Obsession: Radical Islam’s War against the West.” CAIR alleges that “the film’s emphasis on the violent aspects of Islamic jihad conveys a none-too-subtle message of support for a strong response on the part of the United States government. In the present context of the presidential election, this can only be interpreted as an ‘in-kind’ donation to the candidacy of Senator John McCain and as such, is a violation of the McCain-Feingold campaign finance law.” “The film is unbalanced...

So I thought I would do a little research. I am so sick and tired of celebrities pushing their liberal agenda on us, and using every opportunity to tell us how to vote. So I thought, what exactly qualifies these people to give us political advice? Well, it definitely isn't what they do for a living, so I figure maybe it was their education. So thanks to IMDB.com and Wikipedia, I found the following: Actor George Clooney briefly attended NKU but did not graduate Brad Pitt attended the University of Missouri, where he majored in journalism with a focus on...

CBS News anchor Katie Couric defended her policy of refusing to include the term “Governor” when referring to Republican vice-presidential nominee Governor Sarah Palin (Alaska). “Alaska’s not even one of the 57 states, Senator Obama campaigned in,” Couric pointed out. “Obviously, it’s not a very important area. ‘Ms. Palin’ or, if you prefer, ‘Sarah,’ is lucky to get any attention at all. There is no need for us to take up precious air time enunciating a title that is of little consequence to voters.” Couric derided GOP complaints as “bullying aimed at forcing the media to use a word that...

Obama campaign spokesman Damien Thorn warned broadcasters that they will be held accountable for any “lies” they air running up to the election and after, once the Obama Administration takes office on November 5. The threat was sparked by a series of anti-Obama ads produced by the National Rifle Association. The ads warn voters that if Senator Obama’s past record is any guide, his election should be expected to lead to further abridgements of the Second Amendment’s right to bear arms. While not challenging the historical accuracy of the ads, Thorn contended that “they misrepresent Senator Obama’s current positions on...

Now before some blogger reads five sentences out of my column and decides I'm a Democrat in Republican disguise, let me say this. I would walk across hot coals rather than cast a vote for Barack Obama this November. I'm not saying how many coals, but I hope this gets my message across. Though he wasn't my first choice, I think John McCain should be the next president of the United States and anything else would be a disaster for our country. However, McCain needs to stop reminding the Republican conservative base why they had problems with the senior Senator...

The perky one asks the 2 candidates the same question: favorite movie. McCain: "Viva Zapata." Described the scene when on his wedding night, Zapata admits he can't read. New wife grabs the Bible and teaches him. McCain says, admires the way he gave his life for something bigger than himself. Obama says."Godfather" one and two. Starts with the caretaker- asking for favors.

Did You Really Know the Red Bear? by: Jesse Masai, September 23, 2008 If you thought you knew enough about Old Russia, then you have not watched The Soviet Story. The 90-minute film details Soviet Russia’s links with Nazi Germany and its horrendous legacy in Central and Eastern Europe. It tells the story of how the Soviet regime helped Adolf Hitler instigate the Holocaust as well as Russia’s slaughter of its own people on an industrial scale. Latvian ambassador to the United States Andrejes Pildegovics told the audience at the Heritage Foundation that the film brings to the fore some...

Just how far are lefty pundits willing to go to smear Sarah Palin? On behalf of the "progressive" movement, libtalker Randi Rhodes seems determined to sink to new depths of moral depravity, with the limits of imagination as her only impediment. Less than a week after her wildly dishonest claim that John McCain was "well-treated" during his wartime imprisonment in Vietnam, Rhodes is at it again, this time making a strong inference that Palin likes to sleep with teenage boys. It's further evidence of a widespread smear campaign that involves lefty bloggers, libtalkers and the mainstream news media. With this...

During Charlie Gibson's interview with Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, millions of Americans did not notice something very important. As Gibson was looking down his pointy nose at Palin, some of his notes slipped from his lap onto the floor. RFFM.org has been fortunate enough to obtain the lost Gibson questions and we hope they will shed more light on Gibson's journalistic style and some of the preparation he used to get ready for the first national interview with Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin. Q. Governor Palin, ...

Democratic presidential nominee, Senator Barack Obama (Ill) denied he did anything wrong in his negotiations with Iraq in July. “The assertion that I asked for a delay in troop withdrawals is a lie,” Obama complained. “I merely suggested that such a decision be deferred until I take office in January.” Obama also took issue with the claim that his actions violated the Logan Act (a law barring private citizens from negotiating with foreign governments on matters of state). “I am not a private citizen,” Obama said. “I am a US Senator and the next president of the United States. “Feedback from viewers is great,” Roberts tells Scrolling Eye at the tail end of a shift he woke up for at 1am. “But that’s different from the ranters who will rant about anything, especially those fierce partisans taking issue with whatever doesn’t fit their view of politics. We’re not going to change their view of the world. “What CNN is dedicated to is speaking to the great middle of America, going after viewers seeking a reasonable opinion of things — all the moderate Republicans, Democrats and independents that want to be reliably informed. “We’re offering personality, not partisanship. That means...

Looks like Olbermann isn’t starting the week off on a good foot. The Edward R. Murrow Apparition was unable to claim his usual #2 spot at 8PM in 25-54 last night. (That's Olbermann's primal scream Rorschach inkblot). Placing fourth on Friday during a big night of news – Hurricane Ike, Olbermann was not able to climb back to his perch. Instead, he was #3 last night in his time slot, behind Nancy Grace. Monday 8PM 25-54 Ratings: FNC’s O’Reilly Factor: 773,000 in 25-54 demo (had 3.5 million viewers last night) Headline’s Nancy Grace: 586,000 in 25-54 MSNBC’s Countdown: 571,000 in...

Aronofsky: Noah ‘…the first environmentalist.’ Posted by Dirty Harry on Monday, September 15th, 2008 That’s what we’re waiting for; a big-budget, Old Testament epic about Noah The Environmentalist: Darren Aronofsky: I wrote it. Me and Ari Handel, the guy who worked on the Fountain. It’s a great script and it’s HUGE. And we’re starting to feel out talent. And then we’ll probably try and set it up… Peter Sciretta: So this isn’t something you can make for six million dollars? Darren Aronofsky: No, this is big. I mean, Look… It’s the end of the world and it’s the second most...

9/11 -- WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN + WE MUST ALWAYS REMEMBER Every generation can recall an event that is collectively seared into the mind of a nation and its people. From the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941 to the assassination of John F. Kennedy on Nov. 22, 1963 and now including that horrible day on Sept. 11, 2001, individuals can tell you where they were, what they were doing and the thoughts that were permanently etched into their minds on those days. The most mundane recollections became riveting stories of the human experience, designed to be filed...

Bill Maher: “It was like, wow, I will send (Obama) whatever I have to to keep this snarling b***h out of the White House.” Posted by Dirty Harry on Monday, September 8th, 2008 Always appreciate the emails, and got a ton of them after Maher referred to Sarah Palin as a “stewardess” on his HBO show, but the “stewardess” crack wasn’t outside the lines for a comedian. It was tough, biting, and a little further than a Jay Leno or David Letterman would go, but not out there. I didn’t laugh, but that’s because I don’t like Maher. Now, had...

I happened to catch last night's interview about Obama's "associations" and was pleasantly surprised to see Bill go after him fairly well. The interview left me even more concerned about Obama's "character." It was 10 minutes full of stuttering, stammering, uhs and ums. He was evasive, tried to change the subject continually and continued to give absurd answers. Bill called him out for several incidents and Obama looked like a deer in headlights. I am not a huge O'Reilly fan, but last night's interview was enlightening. Did anyone see this? I'd like to hear others' thoughts.

Russell Brand was last seen in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, possibly the worst movie ever made. Not content to merely grace us with cinematic vomit, Mr. Brand returned recently to host the MTV Video Music Awards. You know about some of this, in all likelihood. You probably saw the video clips, on TV or on YouTube, of the esteemed Mr. Brand making fun of a certain 17-year-old girl from Alaska while begging the United States, “as a representative of the global community,” to elect a certain Illinois senator to something or other. From there we moved on to a discussion of...

After the Democratic Party obtained a majority in both the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate in 2006, some believe the mainstream media saw this as an indication the country had made a decided turn to the left. Suddenly, what was once a clear case of media bias became a strident effort by many in the media to promote a liberal agenda. No network was more guilty of this departure from journalistic objectivity than NBC and its sister cable outlet, MSNBC. NBC's news division, which had been losing viewership at an alarming rate, made a decision to roll the dice...

Liberal Hollywood Values — MTV Awards Host: Bush A Retard Posted by Dirty Harry on Monday, September 8th, 2008 Wishes really do come true. Why it was just yesterday when I asked the political gods to have liberal Hollywood to do something stupid that would help our side in the election, and guess what…? As the Huffington Post reports, Russell Brand, British comedian, hosted the MTV VMAs, which is not really political news. However, it's what he said that has everyone astir. Here's one of the ridiculous things Brand had to say: Again and again, Brand _ a confessed former sex addict _ poked fun at young sex and abstinence. Speaking of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's daughter's boyfriend and would-be father, Levi Johnston, Brand sympathized with him: "That is the safe sex message of all time. Use a condom or become a Republican! I don't know why a European metrosexual is in America asking...

Rachel Maddow is so Keith Olbermann's protege, she's supposedly trying to get people fired. Just like her mentor! "Maddow tried to replace all the staffers who work on the 9 p.m. time slot, which she takes over on Monday, but management refused," claims the indefatigable Page Six. This would be, of course, Dan Abrams' former team at Verdict. And ya know who Olbermann can't stand? A one Dan Abrams, who for a time played MSNBC general manager, and thus, Olbermann's boss, but the two never clicked, and neither wanted to pay mind to the other. You'd expect, then, that the...

Unaware that their remarks to each other were being broadcast, an unidentified pair of reporters at the Republican Convention offered their take on the Republicans “parading their children on stage.” “After days of complaints about invasion of privacy and media smears, McCain and Palin put their children on display,” voice #1 complained. “I forget how many of the sons were supposed to have joined the army—as if this were something to be proud of. What, couldn’t they get jobs? Oh, yeah, Bush wrecked the economy.” “How about the slutty daughter and her slack-jawed boyfriend,” voice #2 responded. “Like they’re fit...

Last week, National Organization of Women’s spokesperson Kim Gandy asserted that GOP VP nominee Governor Sarah Palin was “not an authentic woman because she doesn’t support women’s issues like abortion.” This week, the Obama campaign charges that Palin is “not a normal human being.” The charge stems from the failure of the teleprompter during Palin’s speech to the Republican Convention on Wednesday. “Usually, a mishap like this causes at least momentary confusion,” observed Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton. “Where were the ‘ers,’ ‘ums’ and ‘ahs’ that a normal human would utter under such stress? They were suspiciously absent from Ms....

Despite repeated attempts to destroy her and her family's reputation since her selection as John McCain's Vice-Presidential running mate, Americans appear to be embracing Sarah Palin's nomination. This weekend will give voters yet another opportunity to meet Sarah Palin as Greta Van Susteren will host a 2 night documentary on the life and career of Palin. The documentary will be an accurate portrayal of Palin relying upon interviews and footage taken well before Palin was selected as the vice presidential nominee. The documentary will air Saturday and Sunday Night at 8pm eastern on Fox New. The announcement of Palin has...

When I was a kid -- (here we go again, an old timer reminisces) -- When I was a kid you could get into the Saturday afternoon double feature at the local movie theater for fourteen cents. And you could watch two new movies, a travelogue, two or three cartoons, a newsreel, a comedy serial, and if you were lucky enough, you could get to see a new Roy Rogers Western. At least once a month, Roy would be fighting off Wild Indians (those two words were inseparable in those days). And sometimes he'd be on his valiant horse...

While watching those speaking at the Republican Party's National Convention on Wednesday and Thursday night, I realized there was a steady theme from those addressing the GOP faithful. There were many opportunities to slap down the mainstream media and I'm happy to say those opportunities were taken advantage of. In fact, a nice swat should be taken at the mainstream press whenever possible. Indeed, media swatting should become a part of the Republican platform. Let me see...lower taxes, smaller government, pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, etc. and anti-media, but not necessarily in that order. It's about time Republicans start calling it like...

Glen has David Freddoso on the show. He was explaining how Obama has not fought corruption in Chicago, his example was the election of Todd Stergen(sp?). He was mid sentence and all of a sudden Glen is back on the screen at the start of the segment. We never again see David talking about the above specific incident. They totally edited it out. I swear I'm not on something, both my wife and I saw it. If anyone is recording the show and can push the segment out to youtube that would be much appreciated. Thanks
