I served at Tuy Hoa AFB, RVN from October '68 to October '69.The F100 (lead sled or Hun) was the main aircraft that I worked on. I was an E-4 Sgt. with an AFSC code 30151 Airborne Navigational Equipment Repairman. We were referred to as Nav technicians. Tuy Hoa was an airbase a little north of Cam Ranh Bay. In my time there we were relatively safe. The 173rd Airborne Brigade was on our south side and the South Korean Tiger division was on our west and northwest.
Primary mission was to provide close air support and Forward Air Control (FAC) .

Background :I dischaged in July 1970 honorably from the Air Force, settled in Fresno, Ca. and married my wonderful wife in December of that year. We spent 24 years there in Fresno & Clovis, Ca. We left there due to a job move to Sacramento. We settled in Rocklin that is east of Sacramento. I retired from AT&T in December of '02 after 31 years and 11 months. I absolutely LOVE FR! This page will always be a work in progress.
I am a conservative who treasures the Constitution of The United States in its original meaning and that it is the supreme law of the land.
"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." President Theodore Roosevelt
"It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it." ~ General Douglas MacArthur
"The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life. -- Theodore Roosevelt"
"The Electoral College does not elect a king, it elects a President who,by his oath, swears to uphold the Constitution of the United States." ..afnamvet
