I am conservative on some issues and libertarian on others. I favor less governmental involvement in our lives. I am mostly pragmatic, but some lines I will not cross.

I am a strong believer in a strict constructionist judiciary.
I am pro-life and oppose both abortion and the death penalty.
I support our entire constitution, including the vanishing 2nd and 4th Amendments
One of the few issues I am liberal on is my pro-defendant leanings and belief in a fair trial. The Duke LaCrosse case is a lesson to us all on the dangers of overzealous district attorneys like Mr. Nifong.
While I am usually a non-interventionist on foreign policy, I believe politics stops at our nation's borders.

John McCain isn't my first, or even second choice, but I am a single issue voter right now, and that issue is our nation's courts. We can not have Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton appoint four new Supreme Court justices. We will have bad judges from them. We MIGHT get good ones from McCain. Better the might than the none. McCain in 08.
