On the issues;
Abortion: Only in cases of a women’s life being at risk or in the event of rape or incest. States should have full domain over abortion. Roe V Wade should be repealed.
Gay Marriage: I am against the FMA on the grounds that the Federal government has no authority in the issue. I voted against the Texas State constitutional amendment, but after considerable thinking on the subject I now support the state ban and am against same sex marriage.
Stem Cell Research: I am against federal funding of embryonic stem cells for two reasons, 1. there is a lot of doubt on whether they have any real significance as the lack of private funds has shown, 2. Life begins at conception. I am for all other stem cell research.
Taxes: I am for a Flat Tax or a Sales Tax and support the ATR and the Club for Growth.
Entitlements: Privatize Social Security, Reform Medicare to a FEHBP styled system, fully block grant out Medicaid to the states and give them leeway to experiment. I back a Massachusetts style health system based on Mitt Romney's and the Heritage foundations original plan
Spending: Non-Defense Spending Should be frozen where it is indefinitely.
Size of government: The departments of Education, Commerce, HUD, and Homeland Security should be eliminated as well as privatizing AMTRAK and possibly the Postal Service.
Defense: I advocate a million man standing army and 2 more carrier battle groups for the U.S. Navy. We need to increase spending on defense to 5% of GDP over the next 10 years. I feel that these increases are necessary due to a rapidly modernizing PLA, and the growing possibility of a world war in the Middle East and East Asia.
Trade: I am for Free Trade, but they must be mutual agreements, meening BOTH parties (not just us) have to eliminate any and all trade barriers between signitory nations. To our trading "partners", I say to you TEAR DOWN THOSE WALLS!
Immigration: Secure the Border Now! Then we can talk about those who are here. As long as the illegal immigrant has committed no other crimes then the one he committed by getting here, learns English, works, has solid references from legal respectable members of the community and pay restitution then I would support them being allowed to get in the back of the line and become citizens. I would also support a Foreign Legion of sorts for Illegals to serve the country for at least six years or 2 tours of duty in combat and be granted citizenship there after. But before any of that, the BORDER MUST BE SECURED!!
Gun Controll: You controll yours and I will control mine. No federal legislation and nothing more then background checks with no record keeping on the state level.

I was home schooled and graduated in 2004. I am a Political Science major at Texas Tech and will go on for my MBA and a Masters in International Relations.
Career Goals: Graduate from College, Enter the Navy in the intelligence field, work for the C.I.A., get a private sector career, start my own business, then run for office.
